Oh dear! Can't wait to see what you come up with- I don't have any particular preference for my superpower, so I'll leave it up to you, if you don't mind! I do like the idea of the staff

As for favourite colours, hmmm... I like them all! But my top 3 are probably pink, yellow or purple.

No, that sounds good to me

I haven't ever watched Steins;Gate, so are you choosing this Okabe fellow because his personality is similar to mine somehow?

    I just noticed,

Why don't you have an author tag next to your username while Archon does, despite his creative energy being devoted to blog-like writing instead of crack fanfiction?

Eh, for me Fate has always been about the core franchise (Fate/Zero, Fate/Stay Night) and that hasn't been milked so badly. To me, it's been eight years since the last time FSN got a TV adaptation, UBW 2014 is the adaptation it always deserved anyway and I'm glad to have the REAL Rin Tohsaka back.

I will admit that I think they're backing themselves into a corner regarding Heaven's Feel though. Since they chose to adopt UBW rather than make a "definitive" version of FSN, they kind of have to do Heaven's Feel to complete the story. But I doubt they can do it justice in a single movie (which I believe is the plan) and three separate TV adaptations would be a bit much.

If Yuuki Yuuna has a good ending, it'll be amongst my Top 5 anime shows of 2014. It's been an excellent ride so far.
When I first read about Yuuki Yuuna, I actually thought it was going to be a decent but unspectacular slice of life show with some mystical elements. Hey, Studio Gokumi's big hits include the later seasons of Saki and Kiniro Mosaic.
When it started airing, I thought it was going to be a solid, visually appealing magical girl show, but not Anime of the Year material. Unlimited Blade Works part 1's frontrunner position for AotY seemed safe.
Let's just say that UBW's victory is not longer a sure thing. In fact I'm inclined to bet against it. Props to the underdog there, even with the director/writer pair that adapted Kamisama Dolls and the studio behind Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge (I have obscure taste in Gokumi shows) on board I was not expecting that.

You should know that Kirito (the AS poster) shares your fondness of Umi, and Tempester shares your fondness of Nico.
Ohh, nice; I had no idea Kirito was even a Love Live fan at all, never mind an Umi fan. Kirito and Tempester are both awesome, so I'm in good company.

Your Sora no Method posts are great, don't mind them at all Your posts related to the series are much more positive on the whole than they are anything else, and I've actually always enjoyed reading critiques that are a mixture of things the person considers good points and weak points, so long as the critiques are fair and well-considered; I welcome those kinds of thorough assessments, actually. A thoughtful critique that lays out the writer's viewpoints in a logical fashion and makes me think "Hmm, he has a good point" is something I'm always glad to read whether I agree with the critique or not.

I finished it It was a great show. Umi remains my favorite, as she was whenever I first PM'd you after watching the first three episodes, but I like all the girls of Muse a lot. Nico would probably be my next favorite. She was endearingly grumpy and grouchy without ever crossing the line of being genuinely annoying, and I enjoyed her passion for, and expertise of, the idol world a lot. The episode where the Muse girls visited her home for the first time was pretty cringeworthy, of course.

I think Hanayo and Rin were probably given too little attention, but it's hard to balance a cast of nine characters, particularly when you're dealing with a fairly short two cour series like Love Live. I do wish that there were more episodes to explore the characters for that reason, but they did well with the space alloted them. The music was nice, Start! Dash is a really good song and I enjoyed Snow Halation (bonus points for airing on June 1st, my grandmother's 69th wedding anniversary and the last one she lived to see - glad that such a special episode aired on that particular day). Shocking Party is actually my favorite song from the series, though, Muse traitor though that makes me.

Sad to see the group gear up to go their separate ways towards the end, of course. Maybe they can keep in touch through Skype videoconferences or something, that might not be anywhere near as good as idol rehearsals on the school rooftop but it's a whole lot better than nothing.

So yeah, a short-lived but beautiful series about short-lived but beautiful friendships. I'm glad that the series isn't completely over and that there's still a movie in the works; Fall 2015 will be a good season for anime movies, since that's when both Tamayura and Love Live! should be released to DVD. I'm guessing that they'll keep Muse alive and that the idol group will be maintained as a long-standing school tradition, with the original nine members simply the first generation of a constantly revolving door.

Oh dear....! Sailor Moon Crystal, huh? Well. For starters, some positives: the animation quality has improved significantly from what it was during the first few episodes. It's still not perfect, but it's at least decent, sometimes even really pretty now. Minako was finally introduced, and as expected, she is awesome. Queen Beryl has been given more characterisation than before and that's interesting, rounding her out as a villain much better.
There are the usual issues re voice acting, really dumb villain behaviour and cheesiness and I'm not keen on some of the implications made.

Overall, it's improved quite a bit, while still not being up to expectations in many ways. deviations from the source are starting to show, ymmv on those- you'll either love or hate it. I will say that I'm enjoying the current episodes more than the first few, character development is still lacking, staging can be hit and miss. But as of the last episode you do get a much better feel for the world and a bit of that magical fairytale feeling, which was quite well done.

If you can spare 6 minutes to watch something extremely sexy, disturbing, depressing, and amazing, check out the recent animated short/music video ME!ME!ME! (very NSFW!). The ASuki thread is here.

This thing ranks among my biggest wtf-bombs I've seen this year along with Madoka Magica: Rebellion and the ending of Aldnoah.Zero S1.
