I think it's possible, but you'll want to be a bit more specific in the thread topic and opening post about what the topic is about. We don't allow "list threads" where people would simply go listing items in their collection. So, I'm not sure what you had in mind exactly, but I think something more along the lines of "What do you collect? Why? What is your favourite aspect of that thing? What's your most-prized item in your collection?"... and so on would be okay. Something to get people to talk about being a collector and not just bragging about lists and stats. And you'll probably want to make it clear that it's not just about anime or whatever -- could be anything you collect.

So all that said, if you can make a thread that's more like that, then I think it should be fine. I performed a search of my own and didn't find anything that seemed too similar, but worst case I think the thread would be merged if there's really another similar topic out there.

They are legal, what makes you think they aren't? And what has that got to do with discussion about Comiket.
