I was using experiences and upbringing, as I said in the thread my point was that age as well as experiences are what determines maturity. Ion was not denied that so he matured faster where as Luke only ever knew his little world and did not know the world at large so only developed at most to his actual age of seven.
Ion's case is different, he knew he was a replica from the start and has received guidance and instructions in order to prepare him to become Ion. Luke on the other hand was coddled and sheltered in his house the whole time. Very different circumstances. As I said in the thread, it is age and experiences that determine maturity.
Oh and I just noticed but you have to click view conversation and then reply or I would not know if you replied or not.
We have different sized monitors so your third row is different from mine. lol Thanks for the help. I don't want to spoil anybody's Tales experience. Can you describe the one in a visitor message or PM?
Late, late reply and I have no idea if you'll still come here to read this. I'm sorry that I didn't notice your post before.
But for what it's worth, I'm more of a Cooking Master Boy anime fan. I haven't read the manga, nor am I deeply interested in cooking shows in general. Cooking Master Boy is just a fun show.
Well, yes, I know that. But that alone isn't enough to explain why Jade is such a great character. It's mostly due to his personality, and that usually shows when he's with others.
On his own, Jade is simply the experienced voice of wisdom in the party, a "burdened by the sins of his past" kind of character. This is not to downplay his significance in the story at all, but this alone doesn't make him the great character that he is. The fact that gamers usually remember his interactions and banter with the party demonstrates that much of his allure stems from his personality.
You can take away his background while maintaining his current personality, and I assure you that he'll still be quite popular. Right now, newcomers hardly know what his background story is, but he's already gaining popularity.
Since I cannot mention it in the thread, and from your previous post I believe you have played the game. Jade basically is the one whose research and technology allowed for many of the things to happen, along with his story with professor Nebilum. I agree that what made him a favourite with many people is that his sarcastic remarks with others but there is also the fact that he has deep connections with the plot itself that makes him such a great character.
