More than half the terminology is brand new though. Few things remain, like scab coral and trapar.

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like the graces skits are lacking the same charm the vesperia ones or even the xillia ones have. They're all so...I duno, story-based/serious. I haven't really encountered any of the meta ones tales games love so much. Well, asides from the door revenge one. Heh.

Oh, as for E7, I honestly don't think you should worry about it for now. It's it own story much like EVOL that can be enjoyed w/o experiencing the original (at least, it is for me) and when the plot connections start coming up ala Aquarion's reincarnations then you can just skim over the main plot points of the original. But hell, I'd tell you to go watch it. It's one of the best mecha animes ever in my books.
