If you're the Dr Casey from SFC, yes, you do. Of all the people from there to stumble onto this site you're a big step up from SotiCoto.

Hey, thanks, I appreciate that. Both congratulating me on my birthday, and complimenting my posts.

I remembering having a lot of fun in the School Days sub-forum, though the series certainly had its flaws, I enjoyed it a lot for whatever reason. Sort of a guilty pleasure I suppose, and also a sado-masochistic experience. I'm not sure what you mean when asking me to evaluate the characters without taking into account their actions in the series. Do you mean how they were when they were introduced? I've got no other references to them really.

I always had a lot of empathy for Kotonoha, she was trying her hardest to come out of her shell and fulfill her boyfriend's desires, or at least what she perceived as his desires. She was the only truly innocent character (until the very end, of course), and it's unfortunate that she fell for such an insufferable douchebag. Sekai had her ups and downs as a character, and hit an all-time low when she made out with Makoto in front of Kotonoha. You asked me not to that their actions into account, but my opinion of her changed drastically throughout the show, so that's a bit hard in this case. She was my favorite early on, though.

Otome is a reprehensible slut. Sorry, but I just had to be blunt there. Except for actually dumping Makoto's ass eventually, there's really nothing I like about her at all. She *is* cute, though, I can't deny her superficial qualities.

So to answer your question, I'd go for Kotonoha, even factoring in the risk of potentially being violently gutted. /Block of text done
