Lions prevailed and take the #1 seed in the NFC. Our hopes in the Chiefs being beaten rest with them and your Eagles. Good luck against the Packers but given the Love and Watson injuries and that the Bears finally got their first win against them since 2018, I like your chances.

I'm off work until Feb 3. I've badly needed this time off. I'm gradually moving towards days of feeling capable. I got most of my catchups done before people returned to work. It's been a warm but not insanely hot summer, hope it stays that way. There's a lot I need to get done at home and getting active again that I've got 4 weeks left to organise. And 2025 will have the very ominous federal election in May at the latest. Dutton is spewing some of the most insane things I've ever heard. I'm just hoping it's too wacky for too many because if he does get in, he has said he will double charge anyone on their electrical bills who has solar energy, wants to force nuclear energy on the country, wants to gut the public service and is Gina Reinhardt's loyal puppet to make mining the only thing that matters in this country while not addressing anything that actually matters like cost of living, housing, immigration, reinvigorating manufacturing. Expect to hear Trump trying to get Dutton voted in soon.

Hope things aren't completely devolving your way. Yet.

Any likes from this season thus far?

College football playoffs quarterfinals really showed a changing of the guard. SEC got obliterated and all the lower seeds that had no bye won. Texas v Arizona State was an epic. Ewers might have given his draft stock a needed jolt. But I think the real winner from that game was Skattebo. Regardless of whether he nominates for the 2025 or 2026 draft, I'm keeping a major eye out for how he goes. Such crazy power, jukes and capable of the odd throw.

An interesting final regular season day is only 2 days away. To think that between the Lions and the Vikings, a 14 win team will be forced into the #5 seed in the NFC is harsh.

The 49ers almost beating the Lions pretty much sums up their season. But the mock drafts I did a bit before the new year seem to suggest the 49ers can have the draft board fall to them.

NFC South is still Tank Division in spirit. That accursed division has to have someone make the playoffs and also go to the final game?

12 was a good but volatile follow-up to 11. Really hope characters that aren't Hina don't nuke the situation.

Bills offense looks stellar, Allen is probably MVP for this season now. But their defense is almost non-existent.
Lions injuries are stacking up big time. They really need the 1 seed at this rate.

Blue Box ep 11 is one of the best things I've seen all year. Finally it hit the heights it should be.

Lions and Eagles won but...injuries still hounding the Lions on defense and...the media seems to be trying to create a rift between Brown/Smith and Hurts? Meanwhile...freaking Chiefs evoke even more black magic by winning on a double doink...also, the Vikings are somehow even with the Eagles...and the Tank Bowls are really rolling in. (Titans-Jags was truly a Tank Bowl)

But then again, given the amount of wars about to go off, CEO open season and affording anything...Maybe the NFL is relatively sane...

Leafs pulled off one of the weirdest wins I've ever seen. The Devils had around triple the shots on goal yet the Leafs won in overtime. Suddenly, the Leafs are able to goalie other teams and win games they should have lost. All that said, if the season ended today, it would be yet another series with the Bruins, so it seems destined to have a familiar foe come April.
