I'm not surprised that viewers were disappointed by pupa because there's a huge black line obscuring what's supposed to be shown in a gore-filled horror-themed anime.

Les scènes de Mezzo ne servent à rien du tout et sont complètement gratuites mais ça refait les fesses de 95% des "vrais" hentais donc je ne vais pas me plaindre de leurs existences. J'aurais même aimé une autre scène avec la soeur de Mikura

Umetsu est aussi doué pour les scènes d'actions que les scènes de sexe, et contrairement à beaucoup apparement, j'adore le design de ses héroines.

I think the most likely issue here is that LN adaptations are becoming more and more dominant every year, and it's no longer possible for the really good directors and writers to avoid them and continue to live at the standard to which they have become accustomed.

I have not, but I will say this - I think we (not you and me, but the global "we" as anime fans) have a tendency to try and give authors more credit than they deserve under the guise of "surely, they couldn't possibly be this lazy." In my experience, they usually are this lazy. Occam's Razor.

I haven't read Kanojo ga Flag, and maybe there's more to it than it seems. But it seems more likely to me that Watanabe is just cashing a paycheck and there isn't more to it than it seems.
