Another thing I just remembered - Titanium Spellshock Ring and Necklace! Those you can make great money from. I bought one for my Mage and paid about 750g for it. Neck costs more from. There's only a couple of things that are 'slightly' better than maybe those are your ticket to some cash.

That is awesome. That bow would have been top of your list on need. Your DPS is probably getting around levels acceptable for you to do Vault of Archavon now. Try and get into groups for the 25 and 10 player versions. Only takes a few minutes, however it can only be done when your faction has Wintergrasp.

Yeah, Survival is highly dependent on the rotation, Cycling Serpent Sting and Explosive Shot along with fitting in Steady Shot(s) in between them. The damage boosts one gets from Serpent Sting boosting other shots as well as from proc talents and from Serpent Sting/Steady Shot glyphs makes a difference. The good news is that Survival is also the best PvP spec, so you can still grind BGs competently as well as PvE.

Something I forgot to mention earlier was the four factions in Outland: The Kirin Tor, The Wyrmest Accord, The Argent Crusade and The Ebon Blade. At Exalted, each of them allows purchase of Epics. Some of them also sell JC patterns at lower levels of rep. So I sincerenly hope you've been wearing a tabard while doing Heroics. >< I.E. If you havent already, figure out which of the 4 you want to grind, buy their tabard, wear it. That way any Heroic you do assigns rep gained to them instead of the Northrend Alliance/Horde faction.

Hopefully Violet Hold will bring you luck. It sucks that Emblem gear is really lacking for Hunters. >< But if VH, Gundrak and Halls of Stone get you what you need, along with VoA, maybe you could have a shot at Naxx or Malygos. But the main thing is to go at your own pace and have fun. ^^ Which it sounds like you are.

JC - hmmm. There were certain instances that drop JC patterns off the final boss. Utgarde Pinnacle was definitely one of them. Can't remember the others off the top of my head. I think Utgarde Keep was another but not certain. Check Wowhead. As for making money from JC - Meta, Red and Orange are the best three. Also do your JC daily in Dalaran and make use of your Icy Prism cooldown. And if you know any good tips, let me know. I have a 70 Shaman with 375 JC that I want to get to 450 eventually.

If you want to farm for your mount, clear out quests you didn't do before 80. I made 2k off of Sholazar Basin quests alone. Plus Storm Peaks has the Sons of Hodir line which leads to unlocking their rep cycle and dailies. Icecrown - I haven't had the will to do that zone. Just chills me whenever I go. Now I'm Arcane again I may have the nerve, but it's a very harsh place.

I've done a bit of Achievement grinding lately. Managed to get the 50 pets achievement and get Stinky the Skunk (parody of Pepe le Pew form Looney Tunes, because Stinky also has a think for female black cats ^^). Also done some zerging for cash. Someone paid me 300g to zerg them through the original Stratholme last week. Today, someone gave me 150g to zerg them through Scholomance. Yesterday, someone gave me 60g just to help them do the last part of a chain which involved an elite. Keep an eye on the Trade channel - every now and then a lowbie that is either an alt and/or cashed up will want someone to make life easier for them. You can make decent money that way. However, make sure it is time effective. I think one should aim to be making at least 100g an hour, if not more like 200g.

If you want to go after novel mounts/pets - The Oracles in Sholazar Basin have a 1% chance of giving a Green Proto Drake mount from their Mysterious Egg. That requires being Reverred with them. The final boss in Heroic Utgare Keep has a .5% chance of dropping a Blue Proto Drake. There's a very rare spawn in Storm Peaks that always drops a Time-Lost Proto Drake but it is VERY rare. If you manage to get to the timed event in Heroic Culling of Stratholme within 25 minutes and fight the Infinite Corruptor, a Bronze Drake will drop. I managed to get one a while ago, love it. But a 25 min CoT: Strath group requires people that are high dps and know what they're doing. Mistakes aren't allowed at all, nor is resting. I won't mention the other Proto-Drakes, they're too hardcore even for me. You can buy a Red Drake from Wyrmrest Accord at Exalted, but that costs 1600g.

As for anime - to be honest, after being so enthralled by Code Geass and Minami-ke, I haven't been able to watch anything that passionately...I mean, I like Bounen no Xamdou, Daughter of Twenty Faces and Michiko no Hatchin. But not in that 'longing for the next episode, cherishing every single moment' way. I think when one watches two series consecutively that rate so highly amongst one's one tastes, the backlash is it makes it harder to enjoy anything else.

GRATS! ^^ And extra grats on your 1st 80 epic.

That is actually decent DPS for a fresh 80, dude. People would not complain about that. However, Survival may help now you're 80. Still, it's up to you. The differences are huge but Survival has been acknowedlged widely as the highest DPS spec for Hunters at 80. It just throws Seprent Sting and Explosive Shot into that rotation and grants extra damage to any other shot as long as Serpent Sting is on the target.

Dual spec will come with 3.1, along with loads of other stuff. ^^ Will be good.

Don't push too hard, grats on finishing the grind. For a total played time, that's good.

Just vendor the stuff you can't sell. I couldn't sell a single thing I crafted from 1-350 Leatherworking. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet. TBC JC stuff just won't sell. Just get it to Northrend and you'll get money back again.

    Take your time. No rush.

Hey man, hit the 80 mark?

Forget that honor quiver. Just wait for 3.1 before you buy stuff. The season will change, prices will go down. From someone who wasn't able to wait in TBC patches - waiting is better. Trust me.

Yeah, gold can be a problem sometimes, mate. I just blew 2.5k buying BoE epics for my Druid so it could heal Heroics and then spent 1.5-2k getting Leatherworking on my Hunter to Northrend numbers. I have proably spent between 20-25k levelling Enchanting and Tailoring on my Mage. I spent a few hundred having my Druid have max Alchemy at Level 71. But the flipside is my Druid can farming around 200g+ worth of Herbs per hour and crank out whatever Flasks/Potions my Mage needs, my Mage gets good tips on Enchanting and can turn crappy drops into cash plus I get to have Leg Enchancements for only 2g instead of 200g, my Hunter will soon be able to craft gear for itself and the Druid as well as have enhancements only it can use. There are benefits to spending all that gold and there are ways to farm it. It just takes time, knowing what sells and being efficient. Back at 70 I farmed 4.2k gold in 3 days to get my Epic Flying. I just commited myself to do it and resisted any temptation to spend it before I hit 5.2k total.

You're not going to make money on Jewelcrafting until you hit Northrend gems. But then you will. Scarlet Ruby gems go for very high prices as do several other. I have to shell out around 100-200g a gem. You'll get your money back - trust me. Just keep at it with Mining and Jewelcrafting. Once you're maxed, you'll have your three Prismatic gems and then rake it in with cut Rare gems. I know how it feels though. I spent about a grand getting to 375 JC on my Shaman. Not fun. But I know it'll pay off someday.

No worries, anything to help. Utgarde Keep is ridiculously easy on Heroic. I linked the ring from Gundrak because while Expertise isn't useful for Hunters, that ring has about 150 attack power on there for you as well as the stamina. It's the only epic ring you'll be get without doing raids. It is worth going for as it'll have around 100 more attack power than your current rings. I know it's not ideal, but I also know loot-wise, it's your best option at present. 5 of those 6 instances you should be able to find a group for readily as they're commonly done. Halls of Stone on Heroic is gonna be the one you'll have trouble getting groups for, I reckon.

Save your Honor for now. 3.1 is coming soon, which will probably mean Deadly Gladiator's will go to Honor purchase and a new Arena set will come out.

I hit 80 on my Druid on Friday. I had only done about 10 quests in Zul'Drak and hadn't gone to Sholazar Basin, Storm Peaks or Icecrown. When I levelled my mage, I has almost finished Zul'Drak and done a fair bit in Sholazar Basin. So I did it better this time. Rest XP really helped.

When you do Sholazar Basin, there will be a chain that will trigger you getting on side with the Frenzyheart Tribe. They will give you things to do. Then you get asked to help an injured Oracle and the Frenzyheart turn on you. So The Oracles take you in and give you their stuff. Which then leads to having to kill an Elite Lich. At 30% he'll force you to make a choice. He'll bring forth a Frenzyheart and an Oracle. The one you kill is the faction you will be hated by. The one you let live is the one you will side with and be able to do dailies and get rep rewards for. I strongly recommend The Oracles. Very fun dailies and at Revered, you can start buying Mysterious Eggs, which open 7 days after purchase. There are 4 pets to get from there (got my 4th last week) and there is a 1% chance to get an Epic flying Mount, a Green Proto-Drake. Beats the heck out of Frenzyheart who offer you a 1% chance to get a brew that temporarily makes you look like them, or crappy lv70 pots for the other 99%. So yes, go Oracles in Sholazar Basin. I hope you enjoy the Freya and Nessingwary chains too. Sholazar Basin is just the best zone ever IMO. I love it so much.

Hey man. You asked me what epics you could get from Heroics at 80 for your Hunter?

So basically, out of the 12 instances, 6 of them have items in Heroic Mode that would benefit you greatly.

Every time you kill a boss in Heroic Mode in 5 mans, an Emblem of Heroism is lootable from them. Here's what you can use the emblems for:

80 Emblems allows you to purchase a token to get your Tier 7 chest.
60 is for the T7 gloves, but hopefully you'll win the ones form Violet Hold instead.
40 allows you to buy a belt, but it's comparable to the one I linked you above.
25 emblems allow you to buy this neck. This should be your first target from Emblems IMO.
Unfortunately the way the trinkets available are set up, none available for Hunters that way. -_-

But you've got 7 drops and 2 purchses you can chase by Heroics. All really good ones. So that should keep you busy for a fair while.

I'd hardly call 40k honor all....I only play Strand of the Ancients for grinding Honor, because it is easily the fastest way to gain it. Alterac Valley is the only other decent way, but still utterly riddled by stupidity. People not defending the flag caps, rushing for Galv instead of focusing on offense, the offense splitting up and getting hammered, defense letting a ninja cap at the back end go unhindered, turtle matches, AFKers. So sick of it. Strand enforces a time limit and fast action. Much more thrilling and efficient, but that's me.

That gun is awesome. But the chain is utterly different for Alliance. A woman in the Valiance Keep inn wants you to find her brother's men. You find them dead in a mine or turned into Scourge. You then get get told where he is. Tharassian turns out to be a Death Knight, free of Arthas' control and VERY ticked off. So he gets you to engineer a plan to find a way to ascend a nearby citadel and own a couple of Arthas' head honchos. However, it turns out they're holding Tharassian's sister hostage, which makes him go berserk and join you in the fight versus a Blood Elf prince working for Arthas. She is rescued but heartbroken when Tharassian says he can't stop yet and has to hunt down Arthas. Definitely one of the higlights of Borean Tundra for me.

Reasonable gear lineup you have at present. Damn, Horde definitely get the better neck options from Utgarde.

Some advice which is readily accessible for you:

    - Get this helm. Much better than what you have.
    - This axe could be an upgrade for you.
    - You really need the trinkets from Howling Fjord. This and this.
    - Sounds like you'll be in Dragonblight soon. Here's some things to aim for:

Pity you don't get to obtain these legs as only Alliance can get them by the Bolvar/Saurfang/Wrynn/Thrall chain via the Battle for the Undercity. Not sure if Horde get to participate in it at all. But those bracers are Horde only.

This trinket is also Horde only.

You do have a chance to get blue legs at 75 though. The Violet Hold has only the one quest but it is essential for these!

Best piece of advice I can give you is about your melee slot weapon. There's only 1 option from drops before 76 - this sword. However at 76, you can do the Ampitheatre of Anguish. It's the Northrend version of Nagrand's Ring of Blood. And it gives this awesome polearm as a reward! I got it today on my Druid and it instantly gave me a 400 dps boost. There are no pre-requisites. Just go there as a 5-player party of 3 dps, 1 healer and 1 tank. Kill six gladiators in a row. The polearm is yours. Finding the heals and tank may be a problem. It may be worth paying an 80 to come tank or heal, because you get 20 gold for each part along with potions, bandages and the weapon.

    And for the record:

    Main (mage)
    Ex-main (druid)
    2nd alt (hunter)

I was really swamped for time today due to appointments and the anime club on top of needing to get my Druid to 77 to allow fast flying for Herb Farming before Uni hit in to full contact hours. So I'll post a few things here before they get outdated for you.

    - There are two blue quests in Howling Fjord in the Pirate area down south. One of them involves the Kalu'ak as well. One will give you an 88 attack power trinket with a haste use buff while the other has haste with an attack power use buff. Get them both!
    - There is a blue gun from a chain in Borean Tundra.
    - The D.E.H.T.A chains in Borean Tundra lead to killing Harold Lane. That should score you a good blue ring.
    - There's also a quest in Borean Tundra for a blue neck. There is an attack power one, but I don't know what the Horde chain is because the Alliance one involved an Alliance only section of the zone.
    - There were two quests for Utgarde Keep. Both have no pre-reqs and give a blue ring and a better neck(BT one has expertise, which is useless for Hunters).
    - The Nexus has four quests linked to it. But three have to be unlocked via Coldarra quest chains. I would advise unlocking all 4. There are sensational rewards for Hunters here - blue cloak, blue boots, blue gloves, blue shoulders. A guaranteed reward that early is a gift.
    - I wouldn't chase loot in Utgarde Keep, The Nexus, Azjol-Nerub or Ahn'kahet. What is on offer is not worth it at all. Do the quests and leave the instances behind.

Man, I wish you could have been at my Gundrak run today. Both Hunter loots dropped and no Hunter or even a mail-user. -_-

What level are you at now and what zone are you hitting up? Been doing professions?

Survival revolves around Explosive Shot snd Serpent Sting. To be honest, I didn't find it to be a wasteful spec. Just about anything in there boosts Agility, Explosive Shot, Serpent Sting, as well as the Mana Regen you're currently lacking. Plus in PvP, Survival is godly. A Lock and Load proc with Explosive Shot allows you to kill several classes in 2 shots. The spec also offers several CC moves. Counterattack to get Melee out of your face, Wyvern Sting to get out of being jumped. Survival Hunters do amazingly well in the Arena now ebcause their Mana lasts longer and they have crazy Burst DPS. Get yourself 2 healers in a 3v3 team and you're damn hard to beat.

Hunter DPS is all about learning the rotations. You seem to have a fair idea of how to do one for BM. I feel more comfortable with Survival, mainly because Explosive Shot gave me the extra damage I was missing when I was BM. Could also be the pet I'm using. I've been using a Winterspring Owl since I hit 60.

Sorry about not sending the Item Guide yet. My mother walked in hitting the door, made me jump and accidentally click the Back button, losing an hour's work of info compiling. >< I'll get to it now.
