Actually, the guy's spelling is Key. You were right. Silly me. -_-
Results of my viewing at the stuff I watched at the club tonight:
Soul Eater 1 - Wasn't impressed at all.
Tenga Toppen Guren Lagann 1 - Even more unimpressed that I was with Soul Eater.
Bounen no Xandou 1 - This was interesting. Hopefully it holds up.
Daughter of Twenty Faces 7 - Brilliant.
Kurenai 7 - Brilliant.
I recently stopped watching Baccano. After 5 episodes, it was able to negate five good episodes of other series. Had to stop.
KyoAni draws well but that's about all I can say about that anymore. FYI the artist they suck up to is Chi. He was responsible for Air, Kanon and Clannad.
Episodes of Haruhi I liked were the pseudo-murder mystery, the concert and the final episode (according to Haruhi). The movie for the festival...best I not say anything about that. -_- But each to their own. I know why people like it, they have the right to.
The major annoying factor with Kyon, for me, was the excess of his sarcasm. To a point it was funny. Then I just wanted to rip his tongue out so he'd shut up.
On 4chan, in some anime clubs and in random internet threads, characters like Asahina and Tessa from FMP are considered 'rapeable'. The feel-up characters tend to get that label.
Kyoto Animation are a weird lot. They animate so damn well yet they pick weak titles that rely on nothing but moe.
Their early days were okay. The Munto OVAs were an okay start for them. Their big break was landing Full Metal Panic Fummofu, which they did so damn well. Then it goes downhill. Air and Kanon were just...bleh. Lucky Star....*shiver*. Clannad...ewww. Air, Kanon and Clannad were all done by the same h-artist, so it seems KyoAni like to take on this guy's work. Haruhi Suzumiya was the only halt of the slide, but it still had its problems. The way people fantasise/talk about Yuki and Asahina really creeps me out. I've even heard a lot of people use the term 'rapeable' for Asahina, which is just disgusting. As well as the way Konata and Kagami have been heavily sexualised by LS fans.
As far as I'm concerned, KyoAni is just a 'moe machine' now. I have no respect for them anymore, save for what they did with FMP Fumoffu. Haruhi Suzumiya was okay, but I think the light novel version is still better. Yuki, Asahina and Kyon just make me switch off in the anime. I ended up only watching it for Haruhi. I was ready to delete it all after 4 episodes. After the 5th, I finally found something to like and decided to finish it.
Well, that's true. But, the romance thread hadn't been all that active after your last post and morbofist's response to it, and then KoZ posted that stupid comment and people started agreeing with it, so on and so forth. (I'm on this site way too much thanks to my lack of a job)
It didn't surprise me, either. Emotional women have always been highly irrational at times, and Shirley was no different. I'd have liked to see how things would've turned out had Mao not manipulated the girl in trying to kill Lelouch.
And yes, most of the pictures I posted were from the fansite. All but one of the pictures the other two posted weren't from it, though.
Genshiken manga > Genshiken anime, especially the 2nd half
Remote is a decent detective/thriller/romance series that few know about
Saikano manga >>> Saikano anime
FMP Manga > FMP anime
Azumanga Daioh manga > AD anime
Chrono Crusade manga is better and worse than the anime, depending on what qualities you're talking about
