I assume it was you who sent me the invite, right? Thanks.

I don't know how to accept it , though ^^"

Anything caught your fancy this season? There's a surprising of dark horses with potential, I'd say.

I hope you're watching Flip Flappers this season. The first episode just blew me away. This anime is absolutely amazing.

Yep, you were right, that was a really good first episode. I like the rather loose animation style, and Matoi and Yuma are cute. It definitely has me interested in more.

Thanks for the notice. I've had my eye on this show since the PV and promo pics looked interesting. I'll give it a try soon.

Honestly, I believe Kaname signed off her feelings for Arad in episode 25, because their final scene together is of both saluting each other and promising to come back alive (not for each other), and in episode 26, her flashback is of Messar.

Not that she doesn't like Arad, I believe she does; however, his involvement in the plots going on in Delta and downright saying he hold secrets of his own like NUNS does probably tipped her off of his ship...

For me the most interesting comparison is Gochuumon because it appears to have heavily influenced the way this show was adapted. Many of the aesthetic choices are very similar, which I think is going to make for a very powerful show given the impending tragedy that's obviously being foreshadowed. It's just so cool to have the director of the most successful moe franchise maybe of the past decade do one of these moedark shows because the contrast works best when the moe elements are really well done. I think that's why I liked YuYuYu so much, in spite of how it flubbed the darker elements, because the moe/slice-of-life elements were so well done. I expect this show to also do well in that regard.

And since we're talking about Madoka it's worth pointing out that this was something Madoka actually didn't do quite so well.

Now I feel bad for comparing the show to Madoka . I just said that in passing for the sake of simple comparison but, for the record I think Gochuumon, Gakkougurashi and Elfen Lied are the better comparisons since this show shares so many staff/actors with those shows. And the first frame of the first episode was an almost frame perfect homage to Elfen Lied so there's that too.

Mind you, I'm not saying the show is crap or anything. Giving more focus to the princess than the witch is a perfectly valid direction to take. I'm just not in the mood for that kind of thing right now.

Well, at least the protagonist has a good friend close to her from the beginning, so it should help with the hope part. Emphasis on should. Another thing you should keep in mind is that this way more characters than Madoka. At first I thought it was because this was a mobage adaptation, but if allthose girls were designed to be part of a story in the first place, I have to wonder how the story will handle so many.

Fuka is a nice change of pace, a nice girl with a short fuse, a good kind of character for a sports series using martial arts. And yeah, that scene is where most of my concern comes from, like, now what? Just training for the next 10 episodes or so?

Also, holy crap, Izetta was awesome!

Count me in for raising project, though I'm a bit dissapointed its a LN adaptation, because that means spoilers will flow in the thread.

Vivid strike I'm still a bit shaky on, though that's less because of the episode itself and more out of fear it will turn out like vivid.
