    Good evening friend. ^^

Just want to ask.. do you know an image hosting site that allows the use of thumbnails like Imagebam? Because at the end of June... Imagebam would be closing down. I'm hoping to transfer the cosplay pics to another hosting site before that happens. Ah, and please no image host site that has porn advertisments ...

    Thanks a lot.

Hey there. How have you been? Me, dealing with some personal issues, but nothing that stops me from being here (Basically, I'm overthinking a lot of stuff and gotta learn to chill...and connect with others).

In the anime front, Tsuki ga Kireri is easily the best stuff this season. How about you?

Oh, and how have you been? Doing good?

Posted a small video illustrating the UI issues.

Now watching Your Lie in April. Again, seems like something I will go the distance with.

Finished Galko-chan. It was quite fun. Haven't enjoyed a recent comedy that much since Oregairu. Very refreshing to see a gyaru treated with relative respect.

Someone really needs to fix the UI. It seems like Firaxis is making it worse as they go. I'm finding to move. Also, I don't mind the art style much, but I have to say V is cleaner. VI seems to be a bit clutter and I can't tell tiles and other things apart. It's like /insert Kyoani joke here.

On the other hand, I am highly amused that instead of having Queen Victoria as an old lady as she's generally portrayed, she's now a youthful Moe Moe Queen and probably Best Girl. So there you go. It even stopped me from killing her. (Probably regret it eventually)

Oh yea, while V's soundtrack was kinda boring in parts, I found this pretty memorable: Though possibly in a bad way.

    Anime slump over.

Started watching Oshiete! Galko-chan! It's 4-koma based, episodes only last about 7 minutes (including credits) and things get 'spicy' within seconds. But damn, it's intriguing and makes a very good point - never outright judge a person based off of stereotypes. Seeing gyarus, otakus and richer people be cast outside of the stereotypes with some naughty fun (mainly from a verbal perspective) in its honest style is quite something.

Games-wise, I have to confess I've mainly been dabbling in Blizzard stuff lately. The trio of WoW, Hearthstone and Overwatch. A big reason is that Blizzard allowed WoW gold to be able to be used as Blizzard currency. And it's very easy to make in this expansion, so I've been fuelling purchases with that. Certainly there are things on Steam that appeared this year that I'm glad to finally see like Seinarukana and Flowers. A third Danganronpa coming in September is appealing. World End Economica finally being released in full was good to see. The remastered version of Full Throttle was a really fun three hours. Persona 5 and NieR: Automata are ones I want to go after in the future, along with Civ 6. Christine Love managed to trigger the 18+ age on Steam with Ladykiller in a Bind - and thankfully she is a source of the more graphic content that still has story/substance to it. Certainly a lot of 'nudity for the sake of nudity' things to avoid. It's also good to see a higher amount of VNs on Steam. But some of them are unrealistically overpriced.

Manga-wise, the long-term ones have been Spice and Wolf, Master Keaton, Kimi ni Todoke and Say I Love You. There's been a fair few yuri titles that were picked up this year by Seven Seas so I've been getting some of them. Also been getting Scum's Wish. In terms of unpublished ones, I'm still following ReLife and I've started reading one called Until Death Do Us Part. In essence, a badass who specialises in taking out the yakuza ends up having to protect a girl who has the ability to accurately predict the future.

Part of the reason I've been weary of anime lately and less inclined towards manga is this growing meme culture surrounding it all. I'm getting real tired of Kaori from Your Lie In April being the butt end of so many jokes after what her character meant/represented. The amount of titles being twisted to suit certain fantasies that completely go against what titles stood for is sheer lunacy. And Crunchyroll's effect of making what people watch very narrow is really grating. Moreso that their driving the prices up for making titles streamable is monopolising to no end.

Also really grown weary of the WWE. They've done some things right in bringing in AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe. They're giving Finn Balor back the momentum he had before he got injured. Jericho and Owens had a great run. The women are one of the best things going for the company now. However....there are some things that can't be ignored. The utter bullying of Mauro Ranallo to the point of making him quit as well as ridiculing mental health in general. On the same point, allowing JBL to still be in the company after how many people have spoken out about what he's done? It's so hyprocritical for that to happen and for them to be a corporate affiliate of B.A.Star, which is an anti-bullying foundation. Throw in how they buried Bray Wyatt right after giving him the belt, how they buried Bailey last weekend against Alexa Bliss as well as the vile promo the week before, how they suddenly take Jinder Mahal from a long-time jobber to instant champion purely for trying to get the Indian market (and I'm half Indian, for the record), the never-ending privilege they give to Roman Reigns (his in-ring talent is fine - it's this stupid booking that has made it intolerable), the fact that the mental health bullying was also inflicted onto AJ Lee several years ago (yet another reason for CM Punk to hate them so much). I can't abide by that company anymore. I just take a look at what certain Youtubers say. I can't watch the product anymore.

Music-wise, Gorillaz's new album has slowly grown on me. Fozzy's latest tune, Judas, will probably be my fave song of the year. Jericho is just owning it on multiple fronts. Radiohead's album from last year, A Moon Shaped Pool, is still giving me good times. Really hope Tool's long awaited new album does appear this year.

Turning 36 went by quietly. No fanfare, no party. Just a day trying to keep warm and staying relaxed. You'll be reaching that age in just over a couple of weeks, I believe. 28th was the date, I think?

Got some other things to say privately. Hope you're well. Look forward to hearing from you.

Fell asleep around the time I thought I'd first reply. Winter is a record low over here and I get under the covers real early lately. I know it gets colder in Canada but when you're not used to it being 1-2 degrees at night/early morning it's a trial.

AVCon is in a bit over a month. My stuff is ready. I'm well ahead of schedule thanks to a mix of experience and the friends I got on my team this year.

Mum recently went on a trip to China and Hong Kong. While the sights overall were to her liking in China, she had some unpleasant experiences, to say the least. Some expensive tea was stolen from her in Shanghai. Some other people in her tour group had more expensive things stolen too. The quality of food over there wasn't that good. Pollution in the bigger cities was a big problem. And there is a severe 'in it only for themselves' mentality in those who aren't well off. That isn't being racist - I have Chinese/Hong Kong friends. It's the truth. Heck, other people I know that have been there have said the same thing, including Asian friends and people I've met in passing.

On the bright side, Hong Kong was a good experience for my mother. She got to catch up with several former students of hers and went to the wedding of one of them. While it can be hard to find certain things or know where to go if you're not familiar with the place, the general sights were good for her and the food was far better. That said, when she got back, it was apparent how much she missed the quality of food in Australia. Made me realise that while Australia may be behind in some technological and commercial (particularly access) aspects, things like food, transport, cost of living and the mentality of the general populace are things we are doing well in.

After Game 3 of the NBA Finals, it's getting disheartening. Thought this would be the one Cleveland could get some credibility for the league this season. But they couldn't hold a 6 point lead with 3 minutes left and Durant just went clutch. Why he couldn't do this in Oklahoma is beyond me. I won't begrudge Durant for finally winning a ring. I will just never respect the fact he had to join the team that beat him to do it. Golden State is just disgustingly stacked now. Seriously hope someone big like Westbrook or Hayward goes to Cleveland or Boston to try and form someone that can go up against them. It isn't like Lebron, Kyrie or K Love haven't done what they were supposed to for the greater part. Everyone else has just gone missing big-time. Ah well. Maybe I should have expected this after Brady led the craziest comeback ever in a Superbowl to be the ring-leader amongst NFL quarterbacks. Just seems like that kind of year.

Supposedly that internet 'upgrade' will finally reach my area in August. But if you read the article in the New York Times on the Australian NBN, you'd see it's still a joke compared to global standards. This has become an international disgrace.

To be honest, my anime viewings have been very sparse for the last few months. After having seen Your Name late last year then A Silent Voice a couple of months ago, it's left me in a weird state. I've seen two titles hit very big highs. While the stuff being pumped out as overall really lacking. For me, anyway. But more and more friends are admitting they have connected with very little this year. And this isn't just my veteran friends. These are also my young adult friends who are saying this. Frankly I think Kadokawa's ban on taking any isekai titles and heavily cutting down on teen protagonists is long overdue. I'm not saying either doesn't have a place in anime - they clearly do. But the way the industry is trying to replicate the success of a certain few titles is getting really tiring. Your Name and A Silent Voice showed that material more grounded in reality with heavier issues is something people do actually pay up for/want to see. How that eventuates, we'll see. Pity the first Fate/Stay Night - Heavens' Feel movie won't emerge until 2018 since the cinema run is October this year. Unless a local distributor decides to take a chance on it for a cinema run.
