Is this a Bunny gave me diabetes. That show is definitely a NOPE!
    How utterly shocking.

I've stuck strictly with the PC as a gaming platform for costs reasons but the Atelier franchise tempts me from time to time - it looks like my kind of series. Escha has a pretty nice character design, especially the tail.

I'm finding Brynhildr a little more intriguing after two episodes than one, BTW.

My watching is still constrained by studying for exams. Especially since I'll be in Seattle next weekend for Sakuracon and will have two exams the following week... really hoping my girlfriend and I get into this year's Saturday night concert as this year's musical guest is the singer for the two EF anime OPs - and Memories will be one of five shows screened as part of a showcase of her work at the con, so I'm thinking there's a chance she'll sing one of them.

Indeed. I actually ignored Love Live completely while it was airing, dismissing it as poor, generic idol crap. After seeing Triple_R and other people praise the show, I gave it a chance, and it jumped up to my favorite anime of 2013. It's funny, the girls are cute as hell, and the music is catchy.

Love Live is different from idol anime such as iM@S and WUG in that it doesn't address the idol industry at all, since the idols in it are just schoolgirls who work independently to promote their school. While it's extremely bright and optimistic (maybe too much for you), it keeps a continuous plot throughout. I'd say it's like a fusion between K-ON and Tari Tari.

Judging by first episodes, I have to say that Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii, Gochuumon wa Usagi Desuka?, and Atelier Escha and Logy are my favourites so far. So two moe slice of lifes and something that feels kind of shoujo-y and seems to have plot.

After that things get tricky. There's a substantial list of moe shows I want to see at least one more episode of, and I haven't even finished sampling the non-moe stuff (though I have seen Mushishi s2 and Ping Pong now).

I will say that if push comes to shove, I'll probably prioritize Akuma no Riddle, Hitsugi no Chaika (as generic as it is…), Brynhildr in the Darkness and One Week Friends above other options.

And at the other end of the scale, Mahouka, Soul Eater Not, and Black Bullet are looking like probable cuts when the crunch hits, because there's other moe or semi-moe shows I'd prefer to concentrate on keeping up with. And I already dropped Mangaka-san to Assistant-san on the basis that it is terribad.

Do my eyes deceive me or are we liking some of the same titles from this season?

Because One Week Friends, Mushishi S2, The World is Still Beautiful, Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro, Brynhildr and Kindaichi R are the ones I'm sticking with.

I also like your attitude of "This is a moe show that caters to me and I like it, so fuck you haters" for certain shows
More or less, though I'm usually too subtle a person to say "fuck".

Watched the first episode of Is The Order a Rabbit... great show, but judging by your experiences with stuff like Non Non Biyori I think it's sense of humour and sensibilities are too cutesy for your taste (yes, moe shows can have a cutesy sense of humour - I'm pretty sure you know what I mean). Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin was okay.

BTW, I ended up researching an Australian case for a paper I'm writing, and my god, how do you guys ever figure out what the law actually says when every judge writes their own opinion? It's not like the judges at our highest level court always agree, but it's usually way easier to figure out what the majority opinion was, as usually either one judge will write for the majority, or one judge will write an opinion and you'll get other judges who concur (ie. "I agree with judge X except for the following points").

My favourites so far would be The World is Still Beautiful, Akuma no Riddle, Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara, Brynhildr in the Darkness, One Week Friends, Hitsugi no Chaika and maybe Black Bullet. Some of which I think would be more to your taste than others.

I'll recommend The World is Still Beautiful to you right off the bat. And I suspect that Brynhildr will surpass it's so-so start to become one of the better "boy meets girl, shit gets weird yo" shows in recent memory.

Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara is by far the most moe-moe shows I've watched so far. It's also Noucome level stupid. Unlike the little I saw of Noucome, I enjoyed it.

One Week friends looks like it could be good in a "slow and steady"kind of way.

Black Bullet and especially Hitsugi no Chaika were very satisfying but also quite generic.

Not sure what you'd think of Akuma no Riddle's yuri and psychotic assassin girl sensibilities. I liked it.

Haven't seen Soul Eater NOT yet (which looks like it'll be far more moe-moe than the original). Waiting for subs of Atelier and Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin. PRetty sure that Is that Order a Rabbit? Is going to be too cutesy and SOL for your taste.

Mahouka had a weak opener. Bokura was Minna Kawaiisou didn't start real strong either.

Wixoss - the lead girls lack of acknowledgement of how creepy the card game she's learning to play is didn't work for me, might get better as the anime raises the stakes. Triple_R liked more than I did.

Seikoku no Dragonar had a weak opener - my brother got my hopes up by saying he wouldn't watch it because it was a cross between Dragon Crisis, Zero no Tsukaima, and Unbreakable Machine Doll.

My brother did like Blade & Soul. Blade & Soul is basically Gonzo returning to its old shenanigans. It's an MMORPG based anime where some badass lady assassin skinny dips in the woods and then makes some guy who sees her pee his pants. That and some stuff about an evil empire threatening villagers. Not as good as Hitsugi no Chaika IMO - generally speaking I prefer gothloli wizards to badass lady assassins and it's going to take more than a hot skinny dipping scene to make me go against my principles.

Well, if you go to my profile page and click on the about me tab i have a list there of all the series i have watched thus far and where i rank them.

At the moment the only a rank is mushishi s2, and i have two b rank series in isshukan friends and soredemo no sekai. Soredemo was barely on my radar, so it is prolly my biggest surprise thus far.

Tomorrow a handful of series air that i was curious to try out - including Nanana's treasure, Ping Pong, Atalier escha &logy and Gochuumon. Down the road i am kinda curious about mekaku and m3.

Other than that? There were really only three series I was really looking fwd to before the season began - Mushishi s2, Isshukan (which both delivered), and Gochuumon. If unfamiliar with Gochuumon wa Usagi Desuka it is kinda of the same clan as Kiniro Mosaic - a series I really enjoyed.

Atalier Escha & Logy was the biggest wildcard for me before the season began - the one I thought would be the biggest darkhorse ots, but atm it has not been picked up for simulcast by anyone. Well, we will see. That is all that comes to mind - the about me tab listing coukd prolly tell you more. ^^
