Is the post-graduation portion of the manga going to be adapted into anime in 2012? I say this because the artwork resembles the anime's style more. |
Well Okuda in color has only been shown in the most recent manga so it is possible they did't know yet and guessed. Or she has multiples.
|
I don't think it says anything about an S3, although it seems like it's announcing something.

oh,i didn't know it's posted here already. sumire-chuan is just so kawaii. <3 jun's ruining the picture >_>
about the s3 announcement, a guy translated an article confirming it. he mentioned about horiguchi not being the CD anymore. DX that's too bad. i dunno, maybe that guy was only trolling. XD |
Hm, I guess there isn't even an event. It looks like it's a doujin cover, which explains the color errors. :(

Season 3 announcement already? Sounds fishy. It's much too soon. Not only is there barely any manga material to work with, but the movie still isn't out yet. I want more K-on, but only when done right. I kinda hope this is not true.

Well they should anounce something soon, since there has been no word on what KyoAni is doing next year at all. Be it K-On or not.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing how popular it's become in Japan. Who would've thought it'd become this successful? It seems to have a struck a chord with a wide variety of people outside of the stereotypical male anime fan base. Apparently, K-ON! is considered to be the most moe series by Japanese women in their twenties. http://moeakiba.com/2011/10/26/k-on-...ies-women-20s/ |
Which is interesting because K-On got shut down hard in Saimoe this year, with none of the characters making out of Round One.
|
Saimoe is more "which character do you find moe right now?", instead of "Which character do you find the most moe of all time?"
K-ON! was at the peak of its popularity during the last Saimoe, hence why its characters ended up as high as they did. With the little exposure we had of K-ON! this year anime-wise, I'm not surprised that the characters got dominated by others. |

"Meh, probably another fanservice anime which would be forgotten three months after it finished airing" The last one to laugh is the loudest :D |
You can't deny it's impressive how a show in which the characters do so little has such a huge following and is now (close to being) one of the most popular anime series till date.
And with 2.5 million copies of the manga sold, I'm sure Kakifly is fairing reasonably well from it, too. |
I'm surprised though. They managed to get just the right amount of moe and fanservice to keep the viewer interested enough to keep watching, but not too much as to turn this into a complete moefest.
