September 6, 2012 (not 2013). Basically, in about two and a half weeks from now, they'll be announcing something. What that is, is anyone's guess. Second season is most obvious, but they may very well go for something else related to the show (like a figurine or whatever).

There's more than enough material for another 3-4 seasons, and with the frist series Blu-ray sales been so good my bet is a second season.

OVA or whatever! Man a new HSDxD anime will be awesome.

So, glad that this is getting a second season.

They'd better have another delicious strip club ED sequence. And this time with more Akeno :D

They need to make sure the ED will be the best for 2013 and of course more Akeno-sama. :D

I'm not surprised at all its getting a second season given its popularity. But hell yeah! I can't wait for it. Here's hoping the BD/DVD sales was enough to improve the art and animation quality. If the next season does at least as good as the first we could probably expect a third season or possibly even an OVA series or movie.

Good to hear that we're gonna see a second season. I enjoyed this series enough to read the light novels. I have to wonder what material they will cover though - the first season only covered the first two novels which were the first story arc, but the next arc covers four novels. They won't have to dedicate any episodes to side stories if they want to get the full arc in, and some of the material from volume 3 was moved to the first season so hopefully they won't have to compress it too much.

Hopefully considering how well the first season did sales wise this second season gets 24 episodes and thus able to cover the next arc.

The OVA is by far the silliest episode in the whole series. Honestly was that canon?

Not at all, the author wrote the scenario himself but this scenario isn't in any of the volumes.

It was an appropriate punishment for his behavior. At least he got to see them.
