Yeah, I rather liked this chapter, too. Nice to see something more touching for a change. And now I wonder if Toriko and Komatsu's new land will serve another purpose aside from raising some chickens......

Shiroth 2011-07-04 15:31

Very touching chapter. I like to see this now and then in Toriko.

So Toriko has finally become a harem manga...

ellifeedn 2011-07-07 22:45

Should I add that to the tags?

gameboy234 2011-07-07 23:44

I'm interested to know how the snake is being tamed. Terry and the snake, which is more powerful?

Fenrir_valindri 2011-07-08 00:49

Supposedly the Battlewolf is the strongest creature in the setting, but Terry is still very young.

Kafriel 2011-07-08 01:48

LOL, harem indeed :D I see Toriko has entered the world of over the over-the-top, with the waterfall and the snake...fun chapter though, wonder if Sunny's touch will be enough to hold back the current.

actually it only says the battle wolf was very strong. But nothing says it was the strongest. For e.g. I would bet that the nitro should be stronger than a normal battle wolf.

marvelB 2011-07-08 10:09

Heh, so three of the four kings have their own animal partner now. That only leaves Zebra (who I bet is going to get some small, cute and/or goofy-looking animal as a partner. :p Or imagine if he somehow befriended that baby Nitro that's being held in Honey Prison).....

Oh, and cool to see Shimabukuro using an ouroboros reference with Sani's snake! BTW, even though the scanlation romanized her name as "Quinn", I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be "Queen" (which would be fitting, since her species is known as the "mother of all serpents"). And yeah, it's funny to see how everyone is obsessed with poor old 'Matsu. Like I mentioned in my last post, it may just be a matter of time before Coco targets the chef, as well.....

marvelB 2011-07-12 10:31

Well, some spoiler pics of the next chapter appeared, so I guess that warrants a bump:

Spoiler:

marvelB 2011-07-14 14:47

Geez guys, am I gonna have to be the only poster this thread has, now? :eyespin:

Anyways, this turned out to be a pretty fun chapter! Dang, so the snake's gonna be as fast as a meteor when she grows up.... wow. It also looks like Sani received special training from Guemon of the 0th biotope (recall that was actually hinted a while back). Wonder what new techniques he learned under that guy.....

And man, that waterfall is insane! A creature the size of the Regal Mammoth getting crushed by its pressure? Yeesh. Wonder how those guys are going to get into that cave. I guess the snake and Sani's new techniques will be the key to success here......

Man, I sure can't wait for the next chapter! :)

Master Chibi 2011-07-14 14:48

Yeah I love the feeling of being larger than life in this chapter.

:D

I have an idea. Why don't they swim close to the bottom of the lake the waterfall is pouring into and avoid direct contact with the waterfall?

Indeed. I can certainly this this arc being pretty huge.

Plus Sani's hair in a ponytail makes me laugh. :p

well, the previous chapter was really kinda boring. Basically nothing happened. Though of course the level of "nothing happened -ness" cannot be compared to bleach :heh:

Battler-kun 2011-07-21 08:29

They were fillerchapters.
But still enjoyable. I like how food, and basically almost everything else is illustrated to the extremes.

The author has a nice flow. It's really enjoyable to read as a weekly release.

The chapters are right paced, never too filled or too empty (story relevant chapters).

marvelB 2011-07-21 14:08

Well, the full chap is out....

...And it's definitely exciting! Sani's gotten quite an improvement in his skills, to be able to navigate through those deadly waters. And now Toriko's apparently also going to show off some new tricks as they head info the heart of the falls.... can't wait. But now I wonder if any Bishokukai or Nitro baddies are waiting for the good guys in that cave.....?
