Newtype announced a pre-airing event, but I wanted to wait for more details and they posted them on the website today.

On January 5, there will be a pre-airing screening of episode 1 and talkshow held at the Kyoto Cultural Museum's Annex Hall. The show will start at 13:00. In attendance will be Aya Suzaki (voice of Tamako), Yuki Kaneko (voice of Midori), Juri Nagatsuma (voice of Kanna), and Supervisor Naoko Yamada.

The Yui Hirasawa lookalike has this spaced out look in every promo image she's in.

It's funny, because it's almost like the following: Yui Hirasawa is correctly diagnosed as suffering from ADHD at the age of 6, and is ritalin'ed up the rest of her life, leading to little miss Spaced Out here. :heh:

I'm getting a huge K-On 2.0 vibe out of this. Anyone else feel the same?

^^ I'm not talking about the character designs, but the whole cast, and the mere idea of the whole anime strikes me as nothing but moecentral from the start. I could be wrong however.

I'm not getting a K-On vibe from Chuu2 for example.

That's because the character designer for Chuunibyou is Ikeda Kazumi, who does the designs for KyoAni's Key shows. The character designer for Tamako Market is Horiguchi Yukiko, who did the character designs for K-On.

Really, the only way to stop Horiguchi's designs from reminding people of K-On is to not have Horiguchi design characters :heh:.
