Well honestly I kind of got a bit of a bit feeling from that too. It sounds like the kind of idealism that ultimated ruined Gundam Seed Destiny in terms of believability and resolution. I think we should wait for more details though, it could just be another example of Sunrise's legendary awkard English statements that they use to try and make things sound slick and dramatic.

It's because the closet Gundam has ever gotten to A.D was Turn A Gundam's Correct Century, which kind of sounds like it should be our calendar, but isn't.

Because its the first ever Gundam series to take place in a A.D. calendar. Every single one had their own made up era.

Thank god it's a new AU with new people behind it. After the massive failure that was GSD, I don't think I could've watched another 50 episode Seed TV show. Destiny soured my view on the CE AU pretty badly.

God I hope none of the characters are like that. I want to see the main characters having not so easy time taking care of grunts unlike in C.E. were it was like they were stepping on ants. :heh:

So no uber god pilots please, no spam attacks that kills 20 grunts and an acutal worthy female leader character not one that is followed around just because of her good looks and pink hair. Cut back on the Yaoi hints/moments as well.

Oh and please no loudmouth emo characters like a certain character in Seed Destiny. :uhoh:

As long they do that this series will turn out better then the Seed/Destiny series. Believe!

Can we cut back the GSD bashing? I understand most people not wanting this to suffer from the same problems it suffered, but at the same time, it's unpleasing to see the old "why GSD sucks" comment being thrown over again.

As for the English line that screams the Lacus-war-stopper-with-giant-guns-and-sugar-words-wannabe... I say it's so obviously going to bite them back in the rear. Unlike CE which revolves around the intervention on a secondary basis behind moving conflicts, this looks like it'll be the conflict from episode 1 and I don't see any way they can go on like what they did with CE for 50 or so episodes like that.

It worked WONDERs with Seed and Destiny, so naturally it should be expected that they'll retain "some" element of it, especially the working ones. I recall an old interview saying that this hopefully would try and capture a 3rd fanbase of its own comparatively to the old-skoolers of UC and the rabid-schoolgirls of CE, so who knows?

Right. If the backpack is something pulled from Otome (the ring that somehow generates propulsion), I got a bad feeling that a lot of people will attack the show. As is having the word 'Meister' isn't enough.

Gundam "has no future...."

It's too early to see what this series is all about, so I wouldn't say if the series is going to be bad or not or if it is going to be similar to SEED and Destiny.

I wonder if those cone shaped objects on the Gundam's back is, in fact, the cockpit. It would be a nice change instead of having the cockpit right smack in the middle of the chest/stomach area. If the Gundams have a cockpit ejection system, this would be an ideal design choice.
