Serious question. What chapter and where

It's an anime, having a shitty plot twist is guaranteed 99.9% of the time.

Cosmic Eagle 2012-06-14 01:27

And yet you say it happened in the manga for which Okada will get the blame? So was that rhetorical or an actual reference to the manga?

That figure can't be right

Half the animes these days don't have a plot to begin with so there's no shitty plotwist possible. :p

Westlo 2012-06-14 01:34

lol true totoum.

Didn't you know, everything is Okada's fault.

Cosmic Eagle 2012-06-14 01:48

And Okada's failings real or imagined somehow have any bearing on a manga she does not write? Because an anime's failings mean that the manga must be at fault too?

Which part of the manga are you referring to? I don't care about Okada considering that this show isn't even released yet.

Where in the manga are you referring to

totoum 2012-06-14 02:04

Ok Cosmic Eagle, you seem quite confused so let me pull out a westlo speak ---> english translator and translate his last few posts.

So here's what I get:

"I think 99.9 percent of animes these days have a shitty plot twist,so even if I havn't read the manga, based on that figure I can say with confidence that I think the manga will have a shitty plot twist at some point. When that plotwist happens in the anime people will blame Okada even though she just followed the manga because right now Okada attracts a lot of irrational attention,as an example take this blogger who blames the crossdressing theme of Hourou Musuko on Okada when it's already there in the manga".

I'm not....I was just making sure that was what he meant...looks like it. Deriding something he hasn't even read...

If anything Okada should follow the source material for this case. I at any rate won't fault her for it.

ahelo 2012-06-14 09:36

The Okada thing is always used as a joke in this forum so no need to get so serious. Plus most of the time Okada does troll so slight irritation is slightly warranted even if it's not her fault.

DragoonKain3 2012-06-14 22:38

Yeah, there are three negative trends I usually see in this forum, and they are...

3) Kyo Ani has 'fallen again' by milking the moe phenomenon

2) JC Staff series are automatically fail in animation and storytelling

1) Okada will completely ruin another good series

Ironically, I generally love all three. XD

Next month's Shounen Gangan will come with a poster featuring the first anime key visual for Zetsuen no Tempest, in addition to announcing the main voice cast.

OPN 2012-06-15 07:02

I generally like bones/aniplex titles so i'll give this a go. the animation is going to be amazing though if its anything like sword of the stranger course that was a movie and those generally have higher budgets then TV anime but we'll see.
edit: Okay read the manga up till chapter 16 since i can't find any scanlations beyond that and....the series is really really just a wtf from me.
Spoiler for Zetsuen manga:

Higher res from Manga-News:

duckroll 2012-07-10 01:33

The leads for Zetsuen no Tempest are Toshiyuki Toyonaga and Kouki Uchiyama.

Kakkou 2012-07-10 01:35

Yoshino Takigawa: Kouki Uchiyama
Mahiro Fuwa: Toshiyuki Toyonaga

Well this'll be interesting. I've never heard Toyonaga play a rather serious looking character like Mahiro before. It almost feels like Uchiyama and him should switch places. ^^;

Character design looks good.

My thoughts exactly. I was wondering whether they may have made a mistake... not complaining, though - I'm all for something fresh by Toyonaga, and like this kind of role from Uchiyama better.

duckroll 2012-07-10 01:40

Does anyone know if there's more art in the mag? It'll be nice if they actually had some anime screens as well. I wonder when we'll get a trailer.

Heiji over at Manga-News is done posting all the Gangan news for today apparently. He takes them directly and I'm pretty sure he'd have posted any other illustration if there was one, so that must be it for this month.

Have either of them played cross-dressers before?

Toshiyuki Toyonaga:

Uchiyama hasn't done such roles as far as I know, but he makes for a really funny girl when he and Yuki Kaji impersonated Ai Kayano in an episode of Guilty Crown Radio Council. :p
