Episode 34 is the one after it where they are in the fortress.

... ok I'm not. Maybe I can go with it once I get used to it. Think of it as a Lady Oscar type thing. |
Well, isn't her name sometimes put as Olivia?

Same ones who insist on incorrectly spelling it "Ishbal" when the word "Ishval" has appeared multiple times on the screen throughout the show. |
Anyways things are looking pretty interesting. I mean Mustang is building his connections with the Eastern Army and while Ed is going to have issues he is building ties with the North. Wouldn't be surprised if this starts leading to a civil war to remove Wrath and his supporters from the top.
Anyways I'm liking Sloth. Guy just wanders into the base and chaos ensues. |

I'm confused now. I've always known it as "Ishbal"...

Nice ep. I can't believe it, but I actually like the new Sloth. A big hulking guy who's slow in the way he moves, talks and thinks. At least he wasn't a raging muscle head like I thought he would be. And Olivier is awesome. Especially in the flashback.
|
Makes me wonder about the Armstrong family history though. Olivier didn't seem all that happy about Armstrong's condition :heh:. Though I suppose for someone as serious and logical as her Armstrong's....personality might not be the kind she likes.

It's the same thing with Ling and Lin, Mei and May, Ran Fan and Lan Fan, etc Sometimes there isn't one right spelling when you are translating from a different language especially when the word is not English to begin with. |
I don't remember ever seeing it spelled Ishbal in the manga and Brotherhood recently showed that they went with
http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...1013015720.jpg If you could point me to manga chapters that show it spelled as "Ishbal" I'd be willing to consider my position, otherwise I'm sticking to Ishval being the correct spelling. In fact, the only time I remember it appearing written in the manga right now would be this: http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...angaishval.png And as you can see, Arakawa herself used Ishval there. And I'll give you Ling and Ran Fan, but every official source I've seen has always used "May" and not "Mei". (though Mei was used for the longest time by scanlators) |
[QUOTE=Endless Twilight;2803404]In French it's wrong then.
No, actually in French they can't keep the original spelling of names at times or else it ends up with a different sounding. In english it's Ishbal and French Ishval. |
Episode XXXIV: Ice Queen
One word, just one word for me to describe Major General Olivier Armstrong.
:heh:She's so fu****g awestruck. A goddess with a heart of steel and a will of ice. Nothing unfazes her, nothing moves her, nothing mades her to shudder. I come to start loving her.:love: Seriously, when the last frame made that close-up on her blue eye, I had lots of thoughts about her being a Claymore; like turning gold any second, :heh::heh: . Anyways there was such a huge tension when Sloth broke in and loose. Spoiler:
Sloth, I can't believe that he's voiced by the same guy behind Kenpachi Zaraki. I thought for being "sloth" he would be voiced by another guy with a pitch tone-down-down voice. Oh, well! Life's full of surprises. |

Truly is one of the major WTFs I've hit so far with this series xD Up til now, the rest of the gang more or less look the same, so this had me blinking a few times :p Look forward to getting totally thrown off what I know. (Still catching up so lurking just outside of the fma forums) :D |
