Yes, this thread is SPOILER FREE. If you want spoilers for season 2, ask in the novel thread.

there comes a time if they never recall living in another world at all.
In a sense its akin to character identity or personality death.

In the next few volumes I am expecting to see signs of permanent scars forming
aging and more game mechanic breakdowns

You're assuming it would adhere to our version of real life, rather than the 'real life' of what's in Elder Tales. The world becoming more real wouldn't necessarily remove revival or lack of aging for Adventurers since they are not beings of that world to begin with. In essence they could be considered a different 'species' that would always revive and never age, kind of like some sort of mythical creature.

I think there are more to that than "We gotta get back". The world of Elder Tales appears to be a world that needs to be healed and fixed, like a lighter version of the world of Dark Souls. Speculation; one possible course of action would be to find out how to fix that world and make the life of the People of the Land better, then going home/staying (it's possible that not everyone want to go back).

Ahh man, now you got me thinking how hype it would be when they finally start exploring the new expansion content with zero prior knowledge of the backstory, who these bosses are or what the hell is going on and then have to piece it all together using item description and detective work :eyespin:

Heck, they are already technically losing their "souls"

I was just saying that because I'm also waiting for SAO2 LOL.

It's nice having 2 of my favorite series adapted back to back. Now if only some other Chinese light novels get an adaptation too...

is there any chance 1/2 prince gets an anime?

Let's hope no one makes Covenants to steal the Elder Tales equivalent of "souls" and "Humanity".

Also Giant Dad Guardian build.

If souls = memories, and losing souls = losing memories, then are the Adventurers like Undead as well :eyespin: ? And over time they would turn Hollow or become Phantoms...

Considering settings it would just mean they would just get penalty when exping...

If that teory was truth, it would be pretty much ok.

New images for Tetra, Rieze, and Kinjo.

Isn't it Tetora and not Tetra?

Mamare spells it Tetora, everyone else calls it Tetra since apparently, Mamare's romanization isn't that great.

I am willing to bet that CR subs will call her Tetra. I will never forgive them if they call Rieze "Lize" like ANN did, though. Then again, they turned "Libra Festival" into "Scales Festival".

Estavali 2014-09-08 01:38

I prefer to stick to his version of the name. For all we know, Tetora might have used that name just because it sounds cute. Also, afaik, usually katakana is used for transcriptions but Tetora's name is written in hiragana.

I've tweeted this question to Mamare. Not sure if he'll reply though :heh:

I'm wondering if Crunchyroll will be getting Season 2...

Yes, that was already known for a few months.

NHK seems to have confirmed 25 episodes for S2. However, all indications point that they're only animating volumes 6 and 7 ... who knows what the other episodes will be about. Perhaps some expansion on some other characters' sides, who weren't seen as much or at all in the light novel during those volumes.

tsunade666 2014-09-16 19:03

they will probably do Kanami's part too. She already had a seiyuu since s1.

Valky 2014-09-17 04:59

Maybe he'll finish the novel at the same time as the anime. Like Gosick.

Usually it's ending if they push it for another season. Like Gosick & Chaika.

Marcus H. 2014-09-17 05:06

Gosick only had one season, but it did have a simultaneous release of the anime and light novel's end.
