I wonder if there are civilians living where Tatsuya activated Material Burst at the second time.

First Material Burst was when Great Asian Alliance was retreating where there were no islands and lands.
Only the soldiers and the ships were blown off.
Second Material Burst was little later, the map shown on the big moniter and Tatsuya activated Material Burst again where map was shown.
Clearly I saw some islands and lands, I do not know there are ordinary people living there though.

If Great Asian Alliance knew the existence of Material Burst, then would not they evacuated civilians first?
But if I'm missing something, then it is too soon conclude.

He still feels pain. His emotions are reduced, but pain isn't an emotion. He's just really really stoic.

I know right? :D she is the only reason that made me keep watching this otherwise very unimpressive adaptation

GAA had no idea. None of the world knows about Material Burst at all either.

That said, given the size of the nuked area (it was even eating into the port's land area), the after-effects of that particular Material Burst will affect civilians and non-combatants as well.

Yeah yeah, i remembered that from the novel, i was thinking that pain was a emotion because of the anime, since he wasnt reacting a bit, when i the novel he did

Ultragunner 2014-09-27 20:51

Tatsuya actually sweated a bit when he was "restoring" Kirihara and Kei. Perhaps
the reason why he did not show much reaction was because he was already used to it? There was clear indication that he had done the thing several times before

Random Wanderer 2014-09-27 22:29

So... now we just need a final Oniisama count, and a video with clips of every single one of them. :D

novalysis 2014-09-27 22:54

Well, I guess Mahouka has concluded it's Thesis and buildup phrase.

But Maya Yotsuba seems to be implying there will be ramifications for Tatsuya's actions in this episode..

CatRules 2014-09-27 23:00

In the novel, the scene that he was resurrecting those zombies.... was taken from GAA soldiers' point of view and since they were too focused in fighting and running away from Jesustuya, I don't think they would have enough leisure to observe him........ not to mentioned that he wore a helmet.

In Tatsuya (and the author)'s PoV, he did show his reaction though.

rladls2121 2014-09-27 23:08

No wonder Miyuki did not look so good in the airship with the others.
Secrets and more secrets, I wonder if they still stay friends in the future, that's what I'm worried about.
Family over friends or friends over family?
To these people, definitely sides of benificials.

Benigmatica 2014-09-27 23:29

Glad that it's over, but damn Mahouka is so over-hyped that that its flaws are showing. Boring invincible "Onii-sama!" and his annoying "bro-con" sister, awful second arc with No-Head Dragons just yapping about their prize monies, and so much Yamato spirit as the JSDF just curb-stomped GAA without a sweat thanks to Tatsuya and his "beyond GODLIKE" powers.

While the visuals and music are good, the plot is so boring to watch. No wonder Kadokawa and Madhouse Shaft'd Mahou Sensou into this series!

So the first arc has more "Onii-sama!" than the later arcs? That's bonkers! I wonder if Miyuki's "Onii-sama!" count will decrease in future arcs... or increase it?

In any case, glad that Mahouka is over!

Spoiler for bow down to Jesus our lord and savior:

rladls2121 2014-09-28 00:00

Can I ask a serious question?

What Tatsuya did at the end, where he activated Material Burst for the second time where he destroyed the Great Asian Alliance ships while it is on its way to attack Japan again, was that really the right thing to do? And I also want to here other people opinion about this please.

Considering Magic, there might have been other ways to prevent an another battle and at least without losing anymore lives, even though they are the enemy, I don't know.

Realistically, Japan is restricted to just defending their country according to their constitution. However, Japan initiating an attack outside of their waters, whether if it's direct or indirect, is a violation of international laws.

But given that Mahouka has right-wing aspects of it, it's no big deal as the JSDF can attack forces outside Japan in the name of national security.

Tatsuya CAN do E=MC^2 and turn it into pure annihilation energy. Why have an army again?
