Nearly all forums in the "Series Discussion" section has a thread like this,
so... why not here?

The point of this thread: post any nice Maria-sama ga Miteru art here,
incl. parodies etc, as long as they're not to offending or spoiler-ish.

I'm not following the series but I found a cute wallpaper (which I allready posted in the catgirls thread) that could be used to make a basic avatar of your favorite girl. I think it would serve it's purpose a bit better here :p

I have an enormous collection of Marimite images... actually I have an enormous collection of shoujo-ai images in general :\ . I've been thinking I should sort them all and put them on a website to share with others, but I don't know much about website management or hosting any of that. If someone else is interested in starting an image site they'd be free to my collection though ^_^

I'll post some Marimite pics here later, but unfortunately I'm not using my home computer with all of my pics at the moment.

hello fellow marimite fans! this is my first post in these forums, after lurking for a while. all i can say is, i share your love for marimite!

i have been wondering about this image for a while, because i can't read kanji well, much less written kanji :( can someone give me an idea of what it says? i know the names, and the header says "marimite relationship map" (if i'm not wrong).

If it's a relationship chart you want, have you seen this one already?

Heh, that's great! Interesting how many red lines go to Yumi and Sei (hehe... studs.. ^^)

However, this also brings up a lot of questions.. I've seen a few other fanarts hinting at this, but exactly why are Yoshino and Eriko rivals...? :eyebrow:

Also, Touko is related to Sachiko?? That I did not know..

i see so many marimite doujin excerpts, and frankly i love the art! some look even better then hibiki reine's work!

last one. it's a wallpaper from ningen.tk, but that site doesn't have it anymore. since they are so many sei lovers here, i think you'll enjoy it. :) 1280x1024, because it's my monitor's resolution...

Unfortunately I can't figure out the kanji in the upper-left corner. That's one
weird looking kanji and a weird word too (couldn't find any words ending in
~yashi in the JWPce dictionary that I use).

Anyway, what I do know:

Pink text, on right:
Ko...kore wa...
Th... This is...

Bold black text, on left:[/color]
~~ yashi nee desu
?? "nee".

My guess at this line would be "Ayashi nee(-san) desu" which means
"Weird (looking) sister". But, that's probably very wrong. At the very
least "Ayashi" is written differently.

...no clue... :heh:

Oh well... I'll leave it to someone with TONS more knowledge than I have...

With this, I did some more searching, and finally found it!

This is the kanji
似
It's probably part of the verb "niru" or "niseru". I still lack the knowledge to
put everything together and provide a proper translation, but my guess:

"Th... This resembles Onee-sama..." ...or whatever...

EDIT 2:

Had another thought about it... "nee" probably isn't short for "oneesama",
but rather slang for "nai" (=not) so it should probably read:

"Th... This doesn't resemble..."

...which then would make a little sense, if you interprete the image as
Yumi thinking that the picture doesn't resemble Sachiko very well, perhaps
because she's smiling in the picture while not doing so a lot in real life :)

That's Kei alright but she's not Sei's roommate. She's just Sei's college classmate. Not sure where the idea of Kei being Sei's roommate came from but many people seem to have this misunderstanding. Sei doesn't even know Kei's name until the Parasol o sashite story.....

Well, the roomate thing could come from a fanart where we see Sei sleeping against Kei's butt :D

Speaking of fanarts btw, any of you guys know good marimite fanart galleries? Especially of those new characters around season 2.

i was looking through my marimite pictures, and i remembered why i love marimite so much! :love:

i've collected so many of these from futabas, short comics done by fans. they're really entertaining, plus most of them are really funny! i wish i could draw or have art skills :( and i've got so many of these comics, but i've never had the time to sit down and slowly translate the parts which i don't understand. :(

i really hope they're working on a marimite artbook, since most of the beautiful art i've come across comes from doujins. and i'd prefer it if hibiki reine doesn't do it.... his (her?) art is good but it doesn't really convey the soft, lovely feeling that i get when i watch marimite... :p

BTW, for those of you who haven't read/watched Initial D: The cup of water is used by Takumi, the hero, as a training tool to perfect his high speed drifting technique!

Hamunaptra. In The Mummy (the Brandon Frasier one), it is the lost city where the pharoahs kept their treasure. It was also where Imhotep, the evil priest, was mummified. While he was still alive.

#11 is Etherlite/Etherlight. It's used by Sion of Melty Blood. You hook it up to someone's head. The wire is only a few microns in diameter, and it is used to scan someone's brain and look up information from it. The person being scanned can barely feel it.

Reminded me more of the covers of Milk Bar's doujin's, though I can't seem to find the picture amongst my little collection.

marimite is so delicate and beautiful, but a humorous marimite is pretty fun too!

I thought that this one was hysterical and since it was even funnier once people translated the text I figured I'd re-edit it into English. Since noone bothered to translated the top text that remains in Japanese, but I doubt it is very important. Enjoy.
