Episode 1:

I got what I had expected from this.
The character designs are pretty faithful.

Masamune's voice is also really recognizable as the MC. The series explores the idea of making light novels so expect to hear a lot about that. Sagiri is cute but her personality is really shy. I actually think her VA did a decent job at portraying her.

The part about the Eromanga author is parodied with a mask although it was pretty obvious who she was in the first place. Anyways yeah, pretty straightforward episode.

Episode 1

Yep it was really good, the animation was nice and the designs are quite close to the original ones. Masamune's VA is okay (sometimes hated him) but in Sagiri's case the VA did an amazing job.

The story for now is interesting but everyone knows why are we watching this :heh::heh:

Just finished episode 1. Hiro Kanzaki did a great job on the character design like always. The animation was great, the pace of the story was good too and Sagiri is even more lovely in the anime form. Funny how at the start they showed a glimpse of all the characters like Muramasa, Elf and Megumi. Elf of course bossing the mover around. :heh:

Next episode Megumi and Elf, going to be fun.

After I read the LN, I am really glad to see anime. The characters looks really nice and see Segiri makes me feel nice. Can´t wait for more!

Ep 01

Color me surprised ... I was expecting this to be terribad, but the first ep itself was decently okay. I found myself enjoying the character designs especially, and the lead characters are actually ... not so bad.

Where the story will go is another issue entirely for me, but the first episode was ... yeah, decent. (Better than Sagrada Reset's premier ep was for me, anyway. :heh: )

Will cautiously give the next ep or two a try....

I was sort of wondering how he'd discover his sister was Eromanga-sensei. Seriously glad that big bro stopped her before the viewers saw something they were never supposed to see. Imagine everyone's shock to discover that rather than the rumor that the AUTHOR is a cute grad-school girl, it's actually the ILLUSTRATOR (OK, cute barely-entered-junior-high girl, but you really think they'll be able to tell the difference?) That said, it would've been funny to picture some stupid otaku writing "I don't want to see an old dude naked" suddenly seeing cute panties. But seriously though, with that body frame and those legs, how the heck was anyone unable to realize they weren't looking at a man?

Strong Oreimo vibes in this one, but not in a bad way. Bonus that they're step-siblings and could legally become a husband-wife pair in four or more years.

Waiting to find out just what happened to their parents.

I love it. Sagiri is truly the best. she was great in the source and she's still great here.

Though I just saw two shows with matsuoka voicing the mc in a row and it was kind of annoying. zzz. Needs more male vas.

What happened to their parents? What do they mean they are each other's only family? :sad:

Sagiri is already way better than Kirino.

Matsuoka is one of the most hardworking and humble VAs in the industry. Even though he's often teased by his coworkers for his shy, reticent and somewhat unique personality and his screw-ups at events, he is well-respected by fellow VAs, senpais and kouhais and production staff. It's no surprise to see him consistently land main roles nearly every season.

Agreed with the comment Sagiri is way better than Kiniro. She's definitely more charming then the loud, selfish and bratty Kiniro.

Oreimo didn't impress me even though I managed to finish it somehow. I remembered some parts still made me pissed to this day.

I dun think I'll have a problem here, since I'm already sold on the bro-sis ship. :heh:

it rings similar to other series, but the characters are understandable. And it hits a nice balance of self-insert with being a high school author, humor, cuteness of the sister, and also a layer of seriousness that between having her mother dying shortly after joining a new family and maybe other things, there's some issues to overcome.

Indeed Sagiri seems better tempered than Kirino, more adorable too. Not sure if she will be any easier to handle for our MC brother though.

Her lukewarm reaction to the family concept left me a bit curious as to the story behind it.

And yeah Nakamura voicing the father, I almost went for a plot twist, Kyousuke is the father!! Even the hair style and color are similar, then I realize the family name is different :heh:

So basically since ep 01 this is better than Oreimo right? At least Sagiri is a much better character than Kirino (who was pretty shit tbh).

Why is everyone liking Sagiri so much? i mean She is pretty much textbook princess syndrome. that is just down right self centred and frankly act like a asshole. Both her and the MC lost their parent, yet MC works, cleaned and cooked and deliveries food right to her door steps, yet she treat MC like dirt and throw tantrums left and right. MC is pretty spineless and a huge M tbh.

I mean its anime so its fine because you know she is a good guy but imagine if someone act like this in real life or even just reverse the role

since they decided to use ClariS for opening, I already predicted this series would be good

and what an amazing adaptation
I read the manga and somehow anime could expand it in a very good pacing
they rushed it a bit during the revelation scene... but slowing the pace during the siblings' conversation

and for those who thought this would be a normal siblings' love thing, I don't really see it that way
They are not blood-related, only met once a year, and has put some distance since beginning
that's way it would not be weird if they fall in love in the future

And here we go, the dick girl is here! or as some people knows her "megumi". Meanwhile Masamune shows his true colours, he really is a siscon (even when they aren't blood related) who loves Sagiri and probably wants more than just having her as a sister. Damn Sagiri's panties... she has some good taste I must say.

The second part was dedicated to Yamada who was trully a shit. Oh by the way there was a poster of the sequel of Spice & Wolf in the background, nice touch there.

Elf Yamada's presence in this show both annoy and entertain me. While I find her personality childish, she is pretty funny to watch.

I was waiting for this part with "dick" girl, when I read it in LN I had a good laugh how she is teasing him. But now, when I see it animated, just lol :heh:
I am looking forward for the next episode.
And one thing, Sagiri is justice :heh:
