Also about the D-Hell, I'll gladly take it if that's the only problem.

The lack of panellines isn't a bad point in my view. going by my Wing Zero, the old wing-kits were a bit overpanelled, if you know what i mean. and they aren't deep enough... so this is an improvement.

Sworra 2011-02-27 02:14

Here is a pic of D-Hell old 1/100 scale to help with measurements.. They are all same size when they came out long ago in 1/100 scale i also have Wing Zero in the old 1/100 scale and its head to toe same length but not with the packs. So its 17cm up its shoulder, 16.2cm to its V fin on D-Hell.

Appel 2011-02-27 08:14

that seems about right to me, the official size of the deathscythe hell EW is 16.3 meters^^
i wonder how tall the new MG is

Okay, this says one LED unit is included, and optionals have to be purchased. However, it says that four LEDs are needed. I understand the other GN drive requiring a single LED, but how many LEDs have to be actually bought? Where do the other two go? And is it a total of 4 LEDs we're talking about here, or 5?

thats weird... and why would they just include 1 LED unit? the GN drives can light up, thats for sure, just like the NG version. but why just one LED? that would look terrible...
i could see the head lighting up, both the regular NG version and the designer color version have a cavity in the torso where you can put LED units (the regular NG has to be slightly modified though). plus, with the head they were doing a pretty good job with light tunneling. they could keep the head the way it is!

but thats just 3 LEDS... where could they put the other ones? :O

Sir Dearka 2011-02-27 15:44

Shen Long is an absolute must. And I see that I should start saving for Epyon :)

I believe I first mentioned this a page or 2 back. And did people take notice ? Any way, this is Bandai as expected for any running business. Keeping the cost down and maximising the profit margin. They didn't give much LEDs out for the rest of their regular releases for the MG OO lines. So why should they start now ? It's already kind enough for them to give one single LED for the MG OO-Raiser.

Anyone notice that the clear blue part that was on the GN Sword II has been changed to a clear green ala Seven Sword style? Also, how are they going to fit the head LED?

I do notice that the back where the 0 Raiser fits has been modified... it looks like the 0 Raiser's angle is more parallel with the body, making it take less real estate than it should be (unlike the HG models where it stuck out).

I think Bandai just got lazy there since most of the clear parts used are in clear green.

No. LEDs for the Drives and Condensers are mutually exclusive, so there's nothing left for the binders.

Illsteir 2011-02-28 09:28

Sigh, BANDAI has done it again.
So how does the light get to the binders? A clear piece that acts like a piping?

LoweGear 2011-02-28 09:40

If you're not gonna use the L-Condensers though, then you only need 3 LED's instead of five :heh:

Though to be honest, I did prefer the clear green over the clear blue.

I'd rather just swap between the two rather than have to worry about having several LEDs at once. Also not too sure whether I want the head LED or not.

All they have to do is design a channel in the mold; after that pre-elementary physics takes over.

Chiu_fan 2011-02-28 10:05

About the MG Deathscythe Hell Custom, will they eventually fix the defect?

And are there any new announcements about the 00 movie kits?

velocity7 2011-02-28 10:54

So where exactly will 00 Raiser's head LED be? Seems like it has to be in the backpack to allow some room for the cockpit to open, along with some sort of clear piece channel...

That, or the LED has to be totally different from the other LEDs.

More pictures after the jump:

StrikeFreedomV2 2011-02-28 11:18

God, the 00 MG looks so good. I already ordered 2 of it on hobbysearch, so I can have both 00 Gundam and 00 Raiser in 1/100 Glory :D

One a side note: I recently build a lot of HGUC kits, like the Kshatryia, the Marasai, the Gundam MK II, the GP01 and GP02. I would like to recommend them to anyone that is in interested in the UC time line. The quality and articulation of the MK II surprised me the most, considering it's age.

If I read it correctly, Gundam Ace will be releasing the beam gatling gun "anime version" for the Unicorn Gundam on their April 2011 Issue.

And here are some magazine scans for the MG Shenlong Gundam

Nice collection you got there :)

I need some shelfes as well, but I own to many kits and don't have enough space to display them all. Where did you buy yours and many € did you pay?

SonicSP 2011-03-02 03:02

I miss my home, I used to display them on the large cardboard, old school lazy-people style. But most of my gunplas aren't with me right at the moment, just a few treasured ones.

i payed about 19.99€ for the shelf at ikea :P its a little small but it works. i still have the bottom part of the shelf empty and i didnt really put them in there in a very efficient way XD but i could put two more of those shelves next to this one so i think ill have enough space for quite a few more models!

Thanks, 19,99 € is quite cheap. I really need a few of those :D

On a side note: I'm currently building the MG Infite Justice. I already finished the upper torso, the arms, shoulders and the head. Right now I'm working on the legs. So far a great build.

yeah true^^ it could be a little wider and a little deeper but it works. they had a different one there which was pretty much perfect but the price wasnt XP

and yeah, im sure the justice is great! i just heard about it having the problem that parts like to pop off constantly... but im excited to know if thats actually true!

MoonLightShadows 2011-03-05 05:00

What does everyone prefer? GM's or Jegans? I got the GM Custom after how strangly it holds its gun an its sheild almost keeps falling out :heh: I think I like my jegans more for how sturdy they hold there weapons/sheilds.

Sir Dearka 2011-03-05 19:06

Any news on Shen Long? It's supposed to be released this month, but still no exact date?

Kuroi Hadou 2011-03-05 19:32

Just finished putting together the HG Brave Standard Type. :D Aside from a few issues with the ball joints (which were pretty much expected in the first place) and the manual actually mis-labeling some of the pieces, it's a remarkably good kit. It has amazing balance, even with the binders pointed almost straight down and one hand holding the rifle outward. I even shook the table and the thing barely moved, let alone topple over like a lot of kits would. :)

justavisitor 2011-03-05 20:25

@MoonLightShadows
I would always prefer GM custom more (it looks better and also I like the pilot of GM custom XD)

Too bad that I probably won't buy it because I already have the Rx-78-2...can't shake the feeling of being cheated into buying 2 extremely similar models :heh: (Their bodies are almost exactly the same XD)

So HG GM custom can't hold the shield properly??

Been a while since I posted, but for the last two months, I've been working on a HGUC Sazabi. All I have left are the skirts to finish painting... still got some decals that I need to apply, but this should be a decent general idea of what the thing looks like...

And anyone interested in a ton of words and pictures used to describe the thus far 7 weeks or so of work on the kit, go here: http://gamerabaenre.com/?page_id=1307
