its just a bit taller, just like in reality.
i dont care for minute differences in hieght but... SF: 18.88m Legend: 18.86m not a large difference, and not enough to account for that shown in the models...but meh. |

Looks like I'll get the 1000 and 1200 grit. btw, that Hi-Nu on Dalong's looks uber sexy. Only 3 more days now. |

Another question:
I know that using an eraser or sandpaper will remove excess inking when panel lining. However, if I were to use the eraser, will it smudge the ink? Also, for sandpaper, which type is good to remove excess ink. Right now, I only have an 800 and 1200 grit ones. |

they come in various grade and some are very vert fine... |
Ok, how about between the two items I mentioned.
I hear both are very effective, but I just need clarification. |

or you could use the zippo lighter fuel to wipe out the excess though personally I use this to wipe out using thinned enamel as I don't use the Gundam Marker... |

Anyone seen this scene from MS Gundam original TV series?
Coz I don't recall seeing this one before??? http://pds5.egloos.com/pds/200702/20...0_02023935.jpg Don't recall ever seeing this one in the original TV series. Anyone with any idea where this scene might come from? ^__^ |
LOL! But just looking at the design of the gundam, it really is blocky...compared to the new ones now...man anime has come a long way...just makes me think I am old...

The Auction has ended..... Final Price :- 1,419,000 Yen (US$11,800) It was a very intense battle in the final 10 mins. |

Unbelievable, looks like Dalong rated the Hi-nu a 99. WOO!
I'm definitely going to get this. |

I knew the original scene is from some episode at the island but no details, |

What I'm more interested now is that if Mesarion would do a "Detail Evolved" version of Hi-Nu and if he does, just how much crazier will an auction for that be after Dalong rated the MG Hi-Nu so highly. (An almost perfect scrore of 99/100) PS :- Man, I have access to 2 hot toy releases for this week, it's either MaxFactory's 1/8 Suzumiya Haruhi or the MG Hi-Nu. Hot chick or Hot Mech,Hmmm..... |
Meh the noir really doesn't do any thing for me. I have goten quiet bored with the strike/freedom look used so many times. And all the noir looks like is a strike with phase shift off with different wings. And I duno why but it just looks like hg detail to me there just isnt enough to it to make it look like a MG imo.
As for that guys amazing work on his up coming work page it lists MG sazabi Evolve ver, MG hi nu Ver Ka, MG rx-78-2 Ver ka. |

And I believe Keita's next project is the MG Sazabi -Details Evolved-, which I'm really looking forward too. But Hi-Nu is on the list too, so we'll probably see it eventually. But what worries me about the Hi-Nu is the defective parts Dalong pointed out. I'm seriously going to be pissed if I also get those defective parts.. grrr. :frustrated: |
I'm looking for some information about the Action Base.
How compatible is it? I see from the descriptions and pics that it includes a few different attachments but does anyone have a good grasp on the overall applicability to existing models? Thanks. |

WHat defective parts are you refering to? |
|
Well...is it me or the MG Noir looked...devoid of markings and stuff like that?
|
Hmm, thanks Dark.
That's still not going to prevent me from buying it. It's not loose, just not secure. Nothing to gripe about. =) |
I think it's premature to think that Dalong getting a defective part means we're gonna get it as well ^^;; It could just be luck of the draw. We'll have to wait for more reviews (and mention of that defective part) before we can say anything conclusive.

Thank you very much.

Just wanna ask for opinions. For the guys that panel-line, what sort of markers do you use? I use a fine DVD marker (think they are permanent) to outline and paint vents, then use a cotton bud dipped in Zippo to dab away excess. Any other methods for the "dirty" vent look or panel-lining techniques?
|
Damn you Bandai!!:frustrated: I just found out one of the red parts for the beam shield for SF is defective!!!:frustrated: It is kinda twisted outta the hexagon shape.....damn.........:frustrated: :frustrated:
|
Any pics of that?
|
Reading this thread (and looking at Mesarion's mods) makes me want to do gunpla again >_>; I sorta gave up and moved on to Kamen Rider SICs because it's so hard to get the look that I want without painting / effort. Maybe I should be doing gunpla again, but the thing is that they are so dang expensive ;_; I really should get a job.

Seriously though, I hope Dalong figures something out. If the website is getting that many hits, it's better to cash in and insert ads everywhere. As long as his site doesn't go down.. sadly nothing even comes close to Dalong. |
So, it's the 22nd in Japan.
I wonder if HLJ will have in stock right now.. |

Receiving a defective part does not mean I'll be totally screwed. Look at Dalong's model. No harm done.
|
Uh, you do realize that any part can be defective, right? Dalong was relatively lucky and his defective part was only a small, mostly hidden part that only made his funnel holders a bit loose. However, if a bigger and more visible part like a fin funnel piece was defective, I'm sure you'll be pissed then. Anyways I'm done with this subject.. if you don't care about defective parts, that's fine. But personally I like my model kits like how they're suppose to be.
