So this mean modeller rarely have this kind of proble with top coating....
i assume that it is safe to top coat my other gundam right ?

BTW
Nice pic :D

dj898 2006-03-30 00:57

well I have super clean OYW with matt top coat on it.
we shall see what'll happen in 5-6 months time... (I don't smoke and never did)

GameraBaenre 2006-03-30 02:15

Here's a question no one has asked yet... what did you top coat it with? What did you paint it with?

I've topcoated just about all my kits with either future floor polish or Mr Color Super Clear, and I have yet to see any yellowing.... even with kits 4+ years old.

from memory the guy who did Zeta design was the same person who did FSS mecha design or was I got completely wrong?

*warning! picture is big and I mean BIG.

youre partially right

Mamoru Nagano designed/helped design: Hyaku-Shiki, Rick Dias, Gundam MkII, Galbaldy b, Hambrabi, and Qubeley

Z Gundam was designed by Kazumi Fujita and Kunio Ookawara

everything else was done with alot of help from Kazumi Fujita and the man himself, Ookawara (although im not such a big fan of his more recent designs, IMHO) and a couple other guys who im too lazy to name

Fun Fact: Mamoru Nagano also did pretty much all the designs for Heavy Metal L-Gaim, and alot of them have been carried over to/borrowed from Five Star Stories universe (i was gonna start listing them, but there are way too many and im sure ppl dont really care that much)

that Z looks alot like KOG with that big Hyper Mega Launcher! awesome stuff :)

While the quality of their work is simply amazing, I don't like the designs. Especially Saviour.. they made it into a fat, bulky looking thing. And they got rid of the nice red color and made it pink.. yuck.

Strike Freedom also, they put a huge vent/covering for the main thrusters in the back. It just looks ugly. The Akatsuki they did is one of the few designs of theirs I like.

Shinji103 2006-03-30 20:31

I didn't notice they had other model designs on that site. WEWT! :D I like those covers they added onto the Freedom's backpack and the extensions they added on to its guns. :D

Actually the Akatsuki norm is te exact model of Shiranui Akatsuki.....the best part is.....owashi "sky" pack...if you look carefully......the wings have the same articulation as Gouf Ignited...meaning...can flip up and down!!!!!!!:heh:

Oooh, quite a lot of goodies incoming there.

Will you do anything interesting with the M1 Astray besides just painting? Because I've never actually seen someone trying to do a M1 conversion with parts from the Red Frame, and I'd like to see it since the M1 is such a kick-ass design.

And a Meer figurine? :O

Also, anyone more than I who just HAS to buy the new GFF with the Nobel Gundam?

The_Marshal_AEB 2006-04-03 01:57

Ya that what Ill do with the M1+the Red frame, because I already have 2 M1s and 1/100Red frame ;)

I also going to receive those but after 2 weeks because the seller was late
MSA-0011 EXT EX-S GUNDAM MG will sell local
FA-010-A FAZZ MG will sell local

DOM TROOPER HG 1/144 4th one for the MSV
SAVIOUR Gundam HG 1/144

And I'll get the conversion some time later

I'll sell some of those at gaming store in Jed. KSA (I live there :p) + something like 11MSiAs and I always buy stuff even if I didnt complete the ones that I have so I have more than 20 items still in boxs + the ones Ill be reciving :D
