On other topic, RoDa Qant ELS doesn't look as good as I expected. I don't know what's lacking. But still better than none I guess.

Painting silver doesn't turn up well....

I love dioramas like this. It'd be neat if Bandai ever made some of their own to go with kits.

It seems that you also unintentionally paint the surroundings of the shoulder missile pods silver. So I took a wild guess that you paint the missiles after you assemble it. If it's true, I think you should've paint the missiles pre-assembling ;).

Oh, and very nice diorama there, Gamera. I LOVE the greenery.

The jungle seems a little bit untouched by the battle (maybe the 3 cornered the Gouf after a chase...). Exceptional work nonetheless.

A question - are model kit action bases compatible with RD models? I'm thinking of getting my first RD. (eBay deal with a guy a while back didn't go through, so...) I'm looking at getting the Garazzo - comments on that?

Apparently it works with some. the RD line has a own line of stands though.

Mg Blitz gundam

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o...g_blitz148.jpg

accidentally chip off right v fin, manage to repair.....photo might not be obvious....

Ikaoru 2012-07-07 14:37

I have some questions ASAP before I buy it in eBay

"BTF Gundam MG GN Sword IV Full Saber For MG 00 OO Qan[T] GMG179"

The problem with this is that it's not painted :/ and it says that it can fit with regular MG Quanta... however not only that it's not painted, but it's a bit pricy.

--------------------

"MC Model 1:100 GN Sword IV Full Saber for GNT-0000 OO QAN[T] Plastic Parts." However, the price is almost half...

------------------

The Question is this

If the name is different can it fit with regular MG Quanta? I mean is there any other GN Sword versions out there? The box looks the same but the name's different (coming from the seller).

Is the 2nd entry is the same as the first? Am I just over thinking too much?

Thanks

Obelisk ze Tormentor 2012-07-07 15:13

The upper is most likely the resin kit that isn't colored.

The below/2nd one is the plastic one that's already comes in colors. It's made by BTF/Butterfly too. It's cheaper than the resin (about $30) and will fit nicely with the MG Qan[T]. So, don't worry ;).

You know one thing I wasn't quite keen on was the shield but it's totally grown on me.
With the different colours and the white down the middle it's frankly just awesome!

Question on fitting a gap (1/100 Gatling weapon handle) for a tab (MG Unicorn/Banshee hands)

How do you fix the gap? Do you sand paper it or something?

do you mean that the Banshee/Unicorn hand-peg is in the way? if you have a spare MG hand lying around somewhere, just paint it white and switch the hands out if it fits, or sandpaper the peg down but i wouldnt recommend that

Ikaoru 2012-07-07 18:34

The 2/4 handles works well with either hands... the other handles doesn't... I'm not sure if I have extra MG hands lying around...

That's the problem cause more than just wanting the Blitz I want the Duel as well but then with the Buster coming I figure I want all 3!:D:upset::frustrated:

So what do I do, just get them whatever whenever I can or wait and get all 3 at once?!:O

Either way it's still gonna cost me but those 3 are pretty high on my list now, ahead of alot of others I wanted long before like the Noir and IWSP(2 which I sorely want)

Usually you'd think such a hobby is supposed to be kinda relaxing but in a way it's far from it:heh:

How about the certain-to-come MG Aegis? :D

Yeah, obsession can be a pain. As for me, I only browse online store whenever I have money. I will search for a great deal, so that I can buy items that I like in good numbers. I never PO anything so far. IMO those new kits will finally become old and end up in bargain bin like the cheap MG Heavyarms, Sandrock, Astray, etc that I bought. I only buy undiscounted item if it's rare or exclusive and I absolutely like it (even so, I'm still looking for the best offer like my HG Pink Beargguy :D).

In short, I'm taking it easy ;).

God you just had to remind me of the Aegis!!:frustrated:

Haha well I take it easy as well and don't buy if I know it will leave me cash strapped later on.
Plus I only buy at sales now unless like yourself I see something that I just had to have but in that case that would probably be more for figure PVCs than for Gunpla.
I soooo want some Kanu Unchou and Slevaria Bles figures! but sooooo expensive!

Hmmm....better yet, you can display Aegis MA as it grabs Strike from the front or back like in the anime :D.

Good for you who have enough money to buy two of them :p.

I work at my family's business since out of college I couldn't find anything (yet). I work 12 hours a day, Monday ~ Sunday (including holidays). I pay my bills including student loans...

Now tell me that you have no time or money to get into GunPla as much as you like. :eyespin:

i have time to build gunpla if i feel like it, i used to build alot, nowadays i just spend my freetime doing other things, i currently own around 60 kits, all built and on display with around 10 being in the junk box/Graveyard for shelfdivers and used for kitbashing with other leftover kits.

Time isnt really a issue to be honest, i do wish i could find a cheaper apartment if anything.

No, they are approx 1/144 scale completed action figures. They are quite durable, but lack some details. I think they are way overpriced so i only buy them when i find them at -50%. I have about 25, mostly from gundam 00

So they're not really worth it?

Well I wouldn't say that.
Just depends on what exactly someone wanted to get.
For most model makers obviously RD aren't something you'd want since you can't build em(this would most likely be the biggest factor on whether or not you'd want to get one) but for those that like collecting stuff like figures then I'd say they would be worth it if only a little on the expensive side.

Personally I like making my stuff but can't say I'd be against getting stuff like RD.

Appel 2012-07-09 16:19

if you want action figures they are totally worth it because their quality is pretty high.
