Shakugan no Shana - Spoilers & Speculation (for experienced Shanites only)
 

This thread is for the experienced Shakugan no Shana viewer (i.e. those of you who are familiar with potentially all the manga/novels), its purpose is to allow free discussion of theories and speculation over the Shakugan no Shana anime series, it therefore will contain unmarked spoilers. If you are a novels/manga virgin of Shakugan no Shana, then do not read this thread unless you want to be spoiled (use the Speculation & Theories for first time viewers thread).

Hmm... It seems like the storyline is going to deviate a lot from the novels/manga... Considering that the PS2/DS game is considered canonical in the anime version of SnS

And I kinda fear for that it may not go well though.

I wouldn't really call adding one little arc of the game to the anime series "deviating a lot". :heh: It's still too early to make such assumptions, just relax. :)

Above Chigusa is most likely Yuuji's dad.
The missing mystes might be Tenmoku Ikko (whatever it's called)
Not sure about the missing Misaki High School person
One of the Denizens/Tomogara is that green-haired women (Pheles?)

That's all I can guess for now.

By the way, what is 戯睡郷 (Mea/Mare's title)?

yeah, 戯睡郷 (gisuikyou) is her title. something like "the home of the frolicking sleep/death"...I dunno.

-10 bucks says Tenmoku Ikko isn't the one to go above Yuji. hasn't been mentioned in ages.
-you're right, dad probably goes above yuji's mom.
-then again, think the green haired girl has a good chance to take the spot above yuji's mom, seeing as how there's a connection between her and Wilhelmina in the opening, making that the best spot for arrow placement.
-actually seems to be a lot of open slots for crimson denizens and flame hazes now that I think about it. (well, considering that this is supposed to be a chart for major characters) maybe they'll be doing one of the side stories after all.

The Mystes above Yuji could be Johan himself.

Ashlay: I read some speculations elsewhere that they may be doing Margery's side story chapter in the S novel, so I guess we may get some odd characters here and there.

yeah, as a rule all characters from Guze take the names of demons and angels from mythology.

in fact only one exception really comes to mind.

that would probably be a good choice for the anime. unlike Shana and Wilhelmina, Margery never did get much flashback in the 1st season.

what would the other choices be? 00, 10, and 15?

Ten would be awesome but I don't know would they be incorporating it since there's been zero hints of it so far. The Cinderella side story would be pretty cute.

well, since Yashichiro Takahashi was apparently involved this time around and episode 2 has already made a step towards making the anime continuity closer to the novels, I'm getting the feeling this season is going to be much more in line with them.

though seeing as how the whole Snake storyline is still going on in the novels, I'm somewhat worried they're going to cut that and put in another ending instead. Still, I REALLY hope they've gotten some advanced info from Takahashi and go with that little plot twist, since it really is a brilliant in its own way.
