This will be just delicious, as always.

Spoiler for around the end of the episode:

Shinji103 2012-02-09 21:53

Lol, they actually had me strung along there too for a second when they wandered into the "hotel" district..... :heh:

And yeah, the end wasn't exactly clear to me either. Did they have a small time jump to the next year's summer festival, and they're living together?

Next week, we finally hit the Kaoru arc! I'm definitely interested in how they are doing with their official relationship. :)

Freeter 2012-02-09 22:44

Be a true bro to your friend, get rewarded with hot teacher in hotel district. Umehara, pound it :cool:

As for the rest of the ep, you could just tell Ai wanted to bone Junichi bad. Shame we didn't get another 'butter' incident :heh: But thanks to Miya using Sae as a body pillow, we'll likely get more doujins :naughty:

So Kaoru's up next, huh? Looks like they're saving all the major fanservice for the last two girls, though judging by that preview Kaoru might offer some friskiness of her own :D

Really? If thats true well for him, I didn't want him to die virgin despite being a bro for Junichi, MC's friends needs more love.

Sae and Haruka on all their glory!

Flower 2012-02-10 00:03

I must admit I would never have thought of Mia and Sae doing a Romeo and Juliet performance together. :heh:

Looks like the kidnapping was not an elaborate joke after all.... I felt so sorry for Ai when she was crying. :(

Good for Junichi getting the Christmas present for Ai. I smiled quite a bit at that.

Overall this mini-arc seemed to primarily emphasis the intensity of Ai's love for Junichi and not much else. Not that it bothers me per se.

7.5/10 vote for ep 7 from me. :)

I'm just gonna get this comment out right now:

Spoiler:

:eyespin::eyespin::eyespin::D

In any case, this couple to be -- watching them laugh together. That's oh so sweet.

;.;

Half an year forward, at Junichi's apartment where Ai visited to watch the fireworks. No living together yet it seems.

What? It's true! :eyespin::D Plus, it's a legitimate issue. :D

At the same time, she was clearly not ready at the time - despite wanting "it". Thus, they did the right thing by getting away from... that area.

I think so. It didn't look like the Tachibana family house, so I guess Juniichi was accepted to an university and already rented an apartment. So at least a year has passed by the final scene.

The episode was throughoutly enjoyable, but that epilogue lacked the emotional impact for me.

Kanon 2012-02-10 06:27

That was an incredibly sweet episode. Ai is love <3

I thought Ai's depression over Junichi's absence was tiny bit exaggerated, but it would have been worse. The rest of the episode was perfect. What I love about Junichi and Ai is that they behave like a real couple would. Tsukasa was pretty aloof in contrast to Ai.

Thank god Ai finally got rid of that horrid bubble jacket. She looks a lot more classy in that coat. Good job, Junichi!

The Miya were highly entertaining as always. I kinda think Miya and Sae make a better pairing than Junichi and Sae :heh:

Hell yeah! For a moment I feared he would rat him out, out of spite but no, he acted like a true bro would. I hope he scored with the teacher, he deserves it :cool:

True.

One of the things I like about Ai is that she seems to bring out the best of Junichi - or, in other words, I feel that Junichi is portrayed as kind, responsible and strong around Ai. In other words, he seems to me to be more on the road to maturity % wise than with the other heroines. :)

I don't know exactly what it is but I thought the episode was rather boring. Other than Umehara showing once again he can be a really good friend and Miya breast-pillowing there wasn't much for me to enjoy. The date itself was quite dull compared to their interactions in the original arc. I guess that's the result of the original arc already having a very good ending - their relationship progressed storywise, no doubt about that, but what we were shown of it content-wise to me was rather a step back.

Maybe I'll rewatch it some time again, perhaps my reception changes after a while.

You know, other than Rihoko finally getting some sort of conclusion I did not expect anything else out of the other heroines for the second season - I expected it to be something like what it has been so far: a re-visiting of Junichi, the heroines, and where the story went after season one.

I myself am fine with that, but I can easily see how others might not find it terribly interesting.

Candyshark 2012-02-10 08:38

This episode picked up on entertaining value for me. Ai was really enjoyable to watcha nd as Flower said Junichi doesn't look comletely worthless here. Miya, they will catch you. Your actions don't give you a credibility to claim your brother is a pervert. Since Konno Hiromi resembles a bit Sae figure-wise i always giggle at those scene. Seeing Asmin molesting Konno.

Umehara - good jobu!! Side characters add a lot of quirky moments to series. More of that plx.

FlareKnight 2012-02-10 08:46

This was a nice way to wrap up things with Ai. I thought it was odd with Junichi walking around with a sweater all that time, but just setting it up so he could buy Ai that very nice coat :). Can see that things are going to be fine with those two. Glad he managed to make an escape and go see her. No surprise he gave her a key so whenever she needs to see him it's as simple as heading on over.

I sure hope things worked out for Umehara. The poor guy :heh:. He does so much so the universe can cut him a bit of slack.

I have to agree. I think that pairing has a lot more potential. Though good like Sae with future meat-bun competitions :heh:. Still that was a ton of fun to watch. Made so much sense for them to play the leads in Romeo and Juliet, the audience could feel the love :).

ars89 2012-02-10 10:31

Oh man Ai shed a few tears. At least Junichi made it up by escaping. Lol at the camp police looking around for him. The hotel district was funny, especially because of Umehara. Miya had a good seen with Sae. I think they did flash forward at the end with the apartment. That end card was great as well. Can't wait to see Kaoru next week.

Spoiler for ep6:

grandchaosSR 2012-02-10 12:51

Damn, Umehara needs his own show/game!!! Poor guy...I hope Enterbrain will do something about him. Maybe they could give him some arcs flirting with side characters like Keiko.
