The Exia R2 doesn't come with the GN-Sword III as well. Only the Trans-Am 00 Raiser comes with that.

Then the Exia R2 kit comes with the Exia weapons?

Hello guys I just got the both 00 gundam & 0 raiser. Why? I couldn't find the 00 raiser set anywhere so i bought it separately.

I wonder IF only the 0 raiser can combine with EXIA instead of 00? any suggestions? :confused:

PS - maybe i can put into my visitor messages gallery instead of here i think.

dont think the 0 raiser can combine with the exia.. the gn drive will prob get in the way and i dont remb any hole at the back for the exia.

hey guys i just have a question in regards to gundam painting, right now i'm using the tamiya spraypaints to paint my gundams (too poor to afford to an airbrush ><), and i was wondering if you guys can recommend me a good 'finishing spray' to protect my paint job

i heard there was like a matt spray which gives your paint a more plain, matt finish, is there like a clear matt spray or do i have to buy a matt spray for each individual colour on my gundams? can you guys recommend any other good finishing sprays? many thanks!!!

Quoted from the helpful dudes above, topcoat is classified into 3 types: Matt/Flat, Semi-Gloss and Gloss. It's just a transparent or translucent coat of paint applied over the underlying material as a sealer, no colours and whatnot. ;)

tamiya makes their own top coat too i think, im sure i seen it at the hobby store i buy my paints from but then again it could be the Mr. Color version...

NOT Quite true. Generally, the 1/100 NG's offer better detail than 1/144's. I offer the example of the 1/100 Oveflag with its highly detailed engines, eyes, visor, wing and leg mechanics approaching MG level; the Tieren, with its grain-sanded armor mimicking that of a tanks, and the internal shoulder and GN Launcher detail on the Astraea. Even for the 00 S2 Gundams, they still offer better external detail than the 1/144 versions (the Shield Bits on the 1/100 Cherudim are filled in for instance, unlike the hollow 1/144 version).

The only reason that the 00 S2 kits seem to be lacking in detail is due to the fact that the lineart from which they're based from are also detail-light. Also, one should not confuse a model being feature-light - which the 00 S2 1/100's certainly are with the lack of waist joint - for being detail light.

Awesome Custom Astrea! The colors really remind me of another Gundam. <--forgot the name all of a sudden >_<

on one hand, I applaud the effort and a dual-sword astraea is awesome.

on the other, red on black is the single most overdone color scheme ever.

There's a conversion kit for the 1/144 HG Exia to make it the Astraea so I don't think they'll release a separate kit for it.

In regards to the 1/100 Astraea kits, I think it really comes down to what color you want. I chose the white one over the red one because I didn't really like that red on Astraea. BUT the red Astraea does come with the black visor and optional parts to make it Type-F2. They are the same price so I think it really depends on what color you want unless you want the black visor which I think makes it look cooler.

But does that kit cover just the original version, or the Type-F/F2?

And where can you get that kit, by the way?

It's for the standard white Astraea.

Anything can happen though... some people were saying that a HG O Gundam would never be released because of the FG, then looked what happened :heh: Also, even if if there was a conversion kit, that doesn't stop a full kit from being released eventually (like the case with the HGUC Hazel)

SOunds like the F/F2 might be the easiest one to release, and still make it distinct from the upgrade kit.

Speaking of that, I've been wanting for a long time to buy the overflag (the black one that Graham uses) but I've seen several reviews of the 1/144 HG and they complain A LOT about the legs falling down and the fists being too big...taking notice of what you've just said, does anybody can give me an opinion about both versions? On an unrelated subject, I don't have an airbrush (can't afford it yet) but I'm eager to try some painting and top coating...so, do you guys recommend me the tamiya spray paints ? Are they worth it regarding how much can you use them before the can is empty ? What about top coat in spray format? I think I've seen it in some stores but with another name (living in a foreign country doesn't help you with this kind of stuff). I ask this 'cause I did buy some kind of top coat but I tried it on a shield with a brush and the results were not that good.

The Arche looks good, but I don't like the colors either

its best to do that so you can protect the decals as well as the paint and panel lines.

the best 00 gundam custom gunpla ever. the guy who made this has serious talent.actually this custom 00 gundam was on auction .but it is long over sadly.
