No images as of yet, but a couple of surprising kit announcements popped up today:

HG 00 Raiser with GN Sword III - October release, 2100 yen
1/100 Van Saviour Gundam - November release, 2940 yen

source: Ngeekhiong

Finally, an HG 00 Raiser set that has a normal color GN Sword III :D Although I'm intrigued by the second announcement, hope the Van Saviour is done well >.>

does anyone find the 144 throne drei to be decently designed? i find theres 2 main mobility problems with mine. the backpack can never be brought up 90 degrees for the full GN stealth sheild as the frame is too tight and stops it. the fact that it wasnt proportionedfor it to rise above the vertical gn vent behind the head doesnt help much either. is it just me or is the back pack is too close in so the fins or the beam sabers get in the way? is there anyway to position the sabers so it wont get in the wait for full burst gn sheild? aside from that i find the model pretty good.

Well, I don't know if it works on model kits, but I learned this trick from Dannychoo's website.

What you do is get Krazy Glue, and put a SMALL dab of it on the loose joint, or the socket where the join goes. Then, you continuously move the joint, so the glue doesn't dry and it never moves again. The more you move it, the more friction will build, you'll feel the joint get stiffer and stiffer (pun intended).

I've used it on my Robot Damashii 00 and it worked like a charm. Just gotta be careful. That's my method, anyway.

Is Krazy Glue a brand of superglue?

I've had really bad experience with those.Everytime I use them, something really really permanantly bad happens;and not to the model kits either. If I were to even use that evil curse again;even on a small joint......I will need to think this through carefully and plan it weeks ahead.

I do have a Tamiya Thin Cement though, its weak at pasting bad broken things but it seems strong enough to handle something like this;in theory of course assuming no other factors come to mind.

Great, the moment Ifinally took my holiday time to learn how to paint and painted my GN-Sword III,only then they decide to release the normal GN-Sword III.

I'm gonna have to get it regardless...........I'm a sucker for HG 00 and I'm building a nice collection of its boxarts.

HiddenMessage 2009-09-01 00:53

When panal lining white Gundams like Nadleeh, is it better to use grey than black?

Yeah, you can it almost anywhere, but like I said be cautious, the stuff is really strong. It's also an eye and respiratory irritant, so getting too close will cause your eyes to burn. I've been using the stuff on my Gudam figures and weapons for a year now, it takes time to master.

Bit IMHO it's the best way to fix a loose joint, or to prevent warping on the hands.

How is the legs and feet of HG Susanowo? I hope it stands better than the Overflag.
I'm thinking of getting it.

For one, it has a different shield, a different head and the wings have been moved to the shoulders. Nothing really radical though.

Tormenk 2009-09-01 12:14

Only thing can be screwed up now is the color scheme on the Savior.

The legs can stand. It can't easily be topple down like the Over flags. Though the movements/articulations are a bit limited. If you open the legs too much/wide, the legs can come off the ball joint from hips/crotch/whatever.

LightningZERO 2009-09-01 12:24

I laughed out loud when I saw the news of 00 Raiser with GN Sword III kit :D

justsomeguy 2009-09-01 16:07

I'll continue waiting for the HG 00 Raiser with GN Sword III Designer's Color.

Not too bad.The legs can be a little loose sometimes when its too wide since the joints are really thin.Stands okay to me.

X207 2009-09-01 18:55

is it me or do the gundam models always supply some spare polycaps and joints? i was left with some extra on my 144 throne drei and slightly more with my 100 lunamaria zaku. not that its bothering me as some spare parts are always welcome to have handy.

I have a feeling I'd better do this. I purposefully didn't buy any version of the 00 because they keep doing this.

Yes. The more subtle your color contrast is when you're panel lining, the better your models will look.

Yeah, so far I've always recieved a few extra polycaps.

yea i got a ton of those XD

Tormenk 2009-09-02 06:57

Kits tend to be engineered so they can reuse a ploycap set as many times as possible. The MG Exia shares the same polycap set as the MG Strike which was released 6 years ago in 2003.

vektar 2009-09-02 11:17

not only are the polly caps re-used so are the beam sabers

I think Bandai reuses old molds as much as possible to cut on costs.

X207 2009-09-02 18:54

thank you everyone, i sure wont join in the crowd to complain about extra polycaps. i wonder how many spares 144 andy gaia gundam will leave. i just started to build and paint that model today.

btw, where can you get stand for the innovator GNZ series? whenever i get the model id prefer not to llet it stand alone.

LoweGear 2009-09-02 20:24

Just get some Action Base 2's for the Innovator mecha, or any other of your 1/144 Gunpla for that matter. They're available at almost any store that sells Gunpla.

darkstrife 2009-09-03 07:06

so now that the prizes as well as the price for the PG 00 gundam is released, is anyone planning to get one? i still might get it although i need see some more pics to be convinced to pay that much for a kit...

vektar 2009-09-03 10:44

Isnt $200+ USD the norm for PG kits? I remember at some point most were over that price.

Nerroth 2009-09-03 17:09

Anew addition to my collection:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...h/Gaddess1.jpg

(As it happens, I was kind of torn about getting this. On the one hand, it's a fine design, which I like a lot. On the other, it echoes what was, for me, the one event in the show that almost made me stop watching the series altogether... but then, I guess I get attached to fictional characters too easily.)

GN0010 Nosferatu 2009-09-03 18:33

Yeah, that was a sad episode. But at least she went out with a good MS right?

nice pic, youre lucky you got it already, the place im hoping to get it from will still take some time:(. how well do the feet work as far as stability goes?

i have a question to all of you who do linework details on their models. ive decided to try line work on my 144 andy custom gaia. i got a set of fine bruushes to use but often it goes on a bit too much. now im cutting down on the quanitity of paint on thr brush. since this is the first time im trying it i find that in times i put on too much i can rub of the extra and clean it away leaving some in the lines themselves. this works decently but are there any other small tricks? whenever my chance to buy the gadess comes along i plan to do the linework.

There's a Blue Frame Second L clear ver as well, special coating ver, etc. Yeah, Bandai likes making limited ones.

I think Regen Duel looks the best so far....

SonicSP 2009-09-04 01:19

HG GNHW Arios

Got a question on HG GNHW Arios.

Using the parts only from that said kit,can I simply make a normal Arios out of it that looks 99% exactly like the other HG Arios kit?

I know that the top is slightly different due to the addition of the GN Beam Rifle, but other than that small difference.

GN0010 Nosferatu 2009-09-04 01:28

Why would you want a normal Arios? It's so plain and boring, the GNHW way better, no?
