That's gotta be a mistake - there are males in the cast, no way that gets an anime...

Nothing like the delight of being proven wrong when things seem to be going in directions one does not like! :heh:

Anyway, here is the summary of the manga story:

Quote:

Set in the near future, in a world where humans have to fend against vampires. Having lost everything during one such attack, Hyakuya Yuuichirou aims to join a specialized military squad for the sake of revenge, even as more unnatural things begin to occur...
Horror type genres, sports animes and mechas have a pretty good record for male leads, and with vampires in the recipe....

TV anime adaptation announced! I have only read the manga (not LN) yet but this could be interesting. I wonder what studio will be in charge though...maybe Madhouse? Anyways, definitely looking forward to it.

No worries. LN is the prequel. You are merely missing Glen's awesomeness.

Wait, if I remember correctly, wasn't this connected to Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon?

Nope...no link at all. Completely different authors and series

You are thinking of Owari no Chronicle

I like Madhouse as well: they can make some pretty good animation with a visual direction that surpasses the impossible. If it happens, I guess Yuji Kumazawa can work as a director for this show and oversees the production.

Hm, nice to hear this will be adapted into an anime. I've been following it in the online Jump (they kept publishing chapters until they caught up), its not bad, pretty dark but enough humor to balance it out. Didn't know it was popular enough to get an adaptation though. Kind of wary how they'll adapt it, not like the manga is anywhere near close to the finish (still plenty of questions about everything).

eirvenxkie19 2014-08-28 09:41

I think it might be too early for adaptation?

is it originally LN?

It has a prequel LN detailing Ichinose Guren's life when he was 16 and before the virus struck, it's being released concurrently with the manga

I have no problems with Den Yuu Den adaptation. But ItsuTen one was bad, yeah.

Valky 2014-08-28 11:21

I'm looking forward to this. Kinda hoping it's not Madhouse, since it usually hit and miss with that studio, with shitty original story sometimes added to boot.

Tenzen12 2014-08-28 11:48

I just hope this doesn't get into hands of Kishi or Okada...

tsunade666 2014-08-28 17:18

good news. when I saw this. I thought lare will get migraine again for another kagami's work will be butchered. but! there is still hope. anything might be better than Studio Zexcs though I don't have any problem with their other works.

Kismet-chan 2014-08-29 06:24

I am extremely worried about this.

The manga is actually pretty decent... However, there's so little of it that I feel the adaption won't have enough material to work with. Also, the strong likelihood that ZEXCS might get this (due to the author's track record) downright frightens me. That studio is poison.

firetiger027 2014-08-30 00:07

Haha for some reason I felt like this manga was pretty much made to eventually get an anime. It has what? Like three people working on it? Art, story board and writer... something like that. Just for some reason it always felt like something they had big plans for. I started reading it because I really enjoyed the Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu anime and it has elements of that story in it that I really like (like complicated male friendships :heh: ). I am not crazy about the main character but I like the supporting cast. Yeah I hope it doesn't end up with ZEXCS, toei or Pierrot.
