you take a 1/144 orchis, in all its 28000 yen glory, and box it with another 1/144 kit potentially 20000 yen on its own? no one's gonna buy that! wtf! am I misunderstanding this? plz yes |

may I recommend many MG's over 3 big PG's?
to tell you the truth, I think their quality and detail level for their sizes are just about equal really, but MGs are alot more fun since there are so many of them (gotta catch em all!) and quite possibly just-plain-better in some cases. i know this is an opinion, but the Zeta 2.0 GP01(fb) and the WZC MGs are much better looking than the PG versions. personal recommendations aside, get a PG Mk-II, a WZC and a strike. :D attention grabbers in any way. |

and with strike, you mean strike freedom or the 1/60 strike with all the weapons? @That other dude:P: Ehm, so, would the non-lightning edition of Strike Freedom be a better choice and what do you mean with ''hg-quality''? @Everybody:D : Damn the Zeta is really a great kit, it can even transform, Wzc can't really do much.... Ain't there anyone on this board with one? If so, tell me if you still like him. And the new 1/100 saviour is real cool too DX PS: Ain't there a site with personal opinions on model kits? {I know Dalong...but it's korean? and MAHQ has got like 10 reviews...} |
I meant the PG strike. or strike rouge.

I gotta agree with SNT1. Not only do you avoid paying 150-200 bucks for a single model (sure the detail and number of gimicks and open-able armor is great, but the price tag....ugh), but you still get a great model for much less if you buy the MG instead the PG. And with Strike, I personally think the excessive number of detail lines on the PG make it ugly. :/ The MG doesn't have that problem.
In the end though, it does come down to opinion. Just giving my 2 cents. |
I think the lines on Strike are acceptable, since they are actually functional gaps, with moving plates and sh1t....unlike the 1/100 gundam X lines and the MG RX-78 OYW.
the price tag isnt that heavy in hong kong, actually, my dad had a business trip to HK few years back and he picked me up a PG RX78 for 74 bones. But, by that logic, the typical size MGs should also be around 20 bucks :P |

What about those gundams with the ''extra finish''? I think I read somewhere that you'll see scratches on them easily? They do look real...different. PS: The Zeta Gundam is really a ingenious bit of engineering. |

If you check out Dalong.net, he built some of the Extra Finish editions and you can see the results of a straight snap built. |

Thanks a lot:D Btw, do you have a MG/PG Zeta gundam? And will somebody that owns a PG Zeta/ PG GP01/FB /PG Wing Zero Custom please tell me their opinions on them... I read that the PG Wing Zero Custom wasn't really as movable as on the pics...or something.. |
if your going to get a PG kit it should the zeta gundam or the GPO1FB, mkII is ok though but the MG mkII is also done real well.
one of the big differences on zeta gundam kits is the nose shield proportions. anything less than MG it is way off. |
I am getting the Perfect Grade GP01 for Chirtmas, so I'd give you a review then, but I'm sure thats too late, right?

Also, anyone know anywhere (perferably NA) that has the H2YM Gouf in stock? Everywhere I look only has the Rick-Dom (which isn't bad, but I prefer Goufs)

G Collections are always in 1/400 scale. Better do your research before posting the pix up, labeling it wrongly and misleding people. |

well if its G-collections it shouldnt be bad at all---in fact it would be close to perfect size.
