And now, for something completely different....
Well, I know this is a Gundam modeling thread... I am a primary Gundam modeler.. but I've just finished my first FSS kit. A 1/100 Scarlet Phantom. Since this is a mecha model kit, I did think it needed it's own thread... so here it is: http://www.gamerabaenre.com/phantom.htm |
yea u did a great job on the shield looks the same as mine sadly tho everyone who paints their hyakushikis and akatsukis all look the same... cuz were u cant paint the finish or arther u shouldnt lol but none the less amazing job.

I'll see if I can take a pic if I can get my hands on the camera.
I'll repose my Wing Gundam ver. Ka into an awsome pose I had it in, though I decided to take it down, because of the fact that it came down way to easily(that, and it looked like it had a lego pimp cane). Also note, when you see them, that I'm not a good painter, so I like to keep painting to a minimum, and it has no paint(when I get my gundam marker, I may do the panel lines, but that will be it), and after having some troubles with the decals, I gave up on them. Although a good pose can make up for those problems very easily. I also have a freedom with stripped armour on the left leg, and the left arm taken off. If I can ever find a cork so I can finish the battle damaged look(burn the cork and then rub the ashes for a really easy burnt look), I'll show you people. As for my Astrays.... |

mayeb rubbing off the excess with eraser ???
|
I used a black fine tip gundam marker u can rub away the excess with ur finger so no need for an eraser makes life easier.
go here for any gundam markers u need http://www.gundamstoreandmore.com/gundammarkers2.html Im not into air brushing my models just cuz of the cost of the good equipment and paint so in turn I know many other ways to paint my models and still make em look really nice. Here are a few of my HG 1/144 destiny models Legend and Destiny http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...o/DSCN0092.jpg Strike freedom and Inf Justice http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...o/DSCN0093.jpg |
well since others are showing their models here are the new (and hopefully far better quality) pics I took with some of my finished kits
MG OYW back side of MG OYW back side of MG Zaku F2 PG Gundam #2 and here's the very old MC Mazinger-Z HD. It's simple snap assembly with no painting at all. As I recall I put this one together when I was on business trip to Japan while killing time at the hotel room :D http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/3201/53et00563eu.jpg p.s. still need the post processing with PhotoElement to clean up some of pictures |

I paint my kits ya but about the panels am used to handbrush using 0TAMIYA brush thinned semi black, now I stated using 0.05 drawing pen which is much easier and faster but some areas are hard to reach so I use the 0 brush again
I havent used gundam marker because I heared its larger than the 0.1 :D |

Today I learned that nail clippers can make for some excellent battle-damage...:uhoh:
After tearing up my MG freedom, I now have it posed heavily damaged, missing one wing, the other damaged, missing an arm as well. It's only weapon is a peice of wing, and it looks like it's about to lunge. |
Woo, just got a bunch of new models in...now I can't decide which one to do after I finish my Blaze ZAKU Phantom (Dearka Elthman Custom).
My choices are as follows MG Aile Strike (which will get a Phase Shift Down color scheme) MG Zeta 2.0/MG Zeta 1.0 (I have one of each so that I can glue the 1.0 into Waverider mode) 1/144 Shiranui Akatsuki 1/144 Hyperion Gundam 1/100 Turn A Gundam EX Archangel EX Minerva Any suggestions as to which one I should do first? |
which one is easy enuf to start out with?
i used to make them when i was 8, (when gundam wing first came out) but of course i just didnt care about the detail (most them are broken now from playin with them lol) well anyways i wanna get back into it, i just need a cheap easy model to start with any suggestion? |
Cheap and Easy? 1/144 NG (No Grade) SEED and Destiny models. They cost a few bucks and they are easy, and good practice for painting and such. Without paint, they look terrible, but they are easy. SD's are also good and low cost.
|
never mention sd ever again T_T
|
Why not? SD Gundams are cheap and fun. The SD Gundam Force series may not be everyone's cup of tea (I don't care for it personally), but regular SD models are fun, cheap and easy to detail and construct. I am witing for my SD Strike Freedom to show up any day now.
