To Aru ... Fanfiction Discussion Thread

Welcome to the To Aru ... Fanfiction Discussion thread.

This thread is meant for fanfiction creation and discussion, based on the whole "ToAruverse". Hence materials from both To Aru Majutsu no Index and To Aru Kagaku no Railgun are allowed (and any further To Aru that may come up in the future). Fanfiction works can be either posted in this thread or in the Fan Creations Forum and linked to in this thread. You may also link to Fanfiction works posted on other sites and discuss it here.

General rules of our forum still apply:

No sexually explicit material. Yes, this goes for text format as well.

Have fun, but post intelligently

Please respect the authors, fanfictions are written in their free time, they have have no gain and owe you nothing; if they a like a particular character and/or a particular pattern for their story, it's a personal choice and can't be blamed. In general, you are free to post constructive criticisms but not insults which (as in any other part of the forums) won't be tolerated. Remember that writers post here to get help and not to get troubles.

Right we got things started! Just to make things clearer, I shall state that we are blurring the lines between fiction involving purely canon characters and those that include original designs as well. Anything that expounds the world of Toumaverse will be accepted! :D

Let's kick it off with some manga pages shall we? :D

What? Fanfictions? Hmm, sounds interesting. I do hope I won't get haunted by TV Tropes tropes whenever I go to read one... anyway, how long has it been since I last read (and wrote, even) a fanfic?

For sure I won't even try writing one because of the loads of characters available in the ToAruVerse and trying to keep in character would be taxing to my thinking capabilities X_X;;

That doesn't make sense, but still sounds cool

Maybe Touma will copy the attacks that he have already blocked. St. George Sanctuary, Dragon breath, Innocentius, thunder, etc.

If he has the knowledge to use it. But I can't imagine him going for it.

Yeah, kinda similar to what I said before, a dragon hand on the left and IB on his right.
His combo would be: hero speech + disable + dragon hand eat peoples headsoff + victory speech = /gg :o

Synopsis: Having faced numerous enemies, Touma learns that just having his Imagine Breaker isn't enough, he needs to step closer to enemies to stop them while reducing his own risk of getting battle damage while increasing his mobility. And so by one day discovering one of the wonders of the world that is Kung Fu, he now seeks to learn and master them!

not surprised, this series was only semi popular and writing a canon touma fanfic (with his 1 page monologues and all) is frankly just painful.

personally i've only written a minor draft of a toaru/negima x-over fic and haven't gotten the urge to work on it any more then that.

General information is that it would mainly follows the sister's and how they were sent all over the world. It is easily reasonable that one would be sent to Mahoro and results/how they would tie into everything. Currently leaning towards a fusion universe as opposed to a simple direct x-over as there would be to many conflict of powers with a simple x-over that couldn't explained away without bad plot holes. Time frame is post accelerator, pre-last order and post festival pre-magic world.

How about expanding the Kamijou faction mentioned in the anime^^?

A story where Touma accidentally and unwillingly creates an organization (mostly ones he saved, defeated, impressed etc) of powerful Espers, mages and other powerful beings by just doing what he does best. Destroying illusions with his right hand.

I had an idea for a fanfic set during the sports festival except... it's kinda NSFW.

Okay but... i embarrass to write about it since...this the first time i ever written something mature.

Spoiler for how the story goes:

During the sports festival, there's a marathon race where teams of two go to a series of course where 1st place gets to stay at a fancy 5 star hotel in a VIP room & 1,000,000 Yen. Seiri Fukiyose wants to team up with Toma for two reason: 1. For the money & 2. She wants to confess her feelings to him & probably spend a night together with him & make him her "first". Unfortunately, Mikoto has made Toma her partner(much to Kuroko anger since she wanted to be her's but was banned to join since the judges feel Kuroko would cheat using her teleportations powers & due to her Judgment duties to be on city patrol.) since Toma's powers would be useful as her "shield & tank" while Mikoto's would be his "sword & cannon".

Seiri is piss but still want to win over Toma & the money so she enlist the help of Motoharu to help him since she's aware he does magic. However both teams face tough competition as several notorious Level 3 & 4 High school students have join the marathon, with some being "hired" by the Queen of Tokiwadai and all of them want to win with any means necessary including using dirty tricks.

During the race, both Teams manage to beat the rest of the other teams by using their skills to advanced the course while at the same time fighting off their rivals. (Toma with his Imagine Breaker, Mikoto with her Electric powers, Motoharu using his magic & Seiri using her mind to trick her opponents to use their powers against themselves since right now the novels has yet to reveal her powers). During that time Mikoto & Toma talks about themselves & the reason their joining the marathon(Toma for the money, Mikoto to be known as the best). At the final part of the marathon, both teams are on the lead to the finish line over a hill which both girls are determined to win but as they reach the top, several of the evil teams who didn't get beaten by them decide to stop them by using all their powers to cause a small landslide. While both Toma & Motoharu manage to shield their partners from the blast, Mikoto is bleeding at the head, while Seiri gets her right arm broken.

As the rest of the evil teams run to the finishing line, both Mikoto & Seiri tell their partners to leave them & finish the race but both refuse in light of their injuries. When Mikoto is angry at Toma on why is he being stubborn, he reveals that he loves her and he couldn't forgive himself should something happen to her. Mikoto is embarrass on hearing his confessing and finally calm down while Toma bandages her head while they walk to the finish line with him supporting her to walk. Seiri doesn't takes this confession too lightly and she feels she lost Toma to Mikoto & doesn't want to continue the race but Motoharu, who doesn't know why she's sad decides to carry her to the finishing line cause he promise her that both of them will finish the race no matter what. When both them arrived, to their surprise, they found out they are the winners of the race. Turns out the other teams were disqualify because on what they did at the hill and for the fact they abandon their teams mates to finish the race. As both Mikoto's team & Seiri team were the only ones to finish the race with their partners, they are officially the winners of the race (Mikoto & Toma at first place, Seiri & Motoharu at 2nd). As compensation on what happen to Seiri, the sponsors decided to not only give her 500,000 yen for winning 2nd, she & Motoharu also gets to stay at the same 5 star Hotel Mikoto & Toma are staying.

Later that night at the hotel & having their wounds healed, Mikoto becomes closer with Toma & finally reveals that she has always been in love with him since they first meet & both of them kiss infront of their friends much to the jealousy of Toma's female friends. But seeing that made Seiri run away to the Balcony with Motoharu chasing her. At the Balcony, Seiri tell Motoharu she fells like an idiot for joining the race since she wanted to win to confess her love for Toma only to have them shattered when she learn he was already in love with someone else. Motoharu thinks she isn't an idiot but brave since not many people do that for the person their in love, just like him too. When she ask what does he mean, Motoharu reveals that he had always had a crush on her but didn't purse it further due to her attitude as class ref. But know that he knows the real her, he wants to love her & make her the happiest girl ever, which Seiri starts to kiss Motoharu for saying that.

As midnight approaches, both couples are ready to take their relationship to the next level in their rooms. (CONT)

I write the ending another time since i'm tired.

It's has so much fluffy that it's just purely awesome...I would very much like to see this...since I am a huge fan of Touma/Misaka pairings

Well I'm not a fan of pairings but I want to read more of the fic.

So after quite some time considering it, I decided to give my proposed "To Aru Hustle!" plan a go.

Although it's been a while since I last flexed my fan-writing abilities, so I need to progress somewhat slow. Moreover if I'm telling the story by reduxing the anime's original storyline by writing the story (while modifying some stuff to my own liberty) as I re-watch the series from episode 1.

.......I'm sort of debating whether or not to type a touma/misaka story. With a slight Katekyo Hitman Reborn crossover (Touma having the dying will flame powers, with of course some of my fictional add ons, this story might have the shounen concept of strength). I just don't have the heart to create fighting scenarios for his cancel hand, so I apologize imagine breaker fans.

Well, Touma don't use his Imagine Breaker to defeat his enemies, he also uses the "brain".

^That's good to hear, I've only been watching the anime. I just started reading the manga, along with the To Aru Kagaku no Railgun manga. Guess that makes deciding on the fic a little more easier. :)

hmm. Fanfic. quite interesting but I don't have that much time. Major plates are eating me right now but I think my idea before of touma being the existence that proves that others exist. Like deep blood proves that vamps ( no super gay fag vamp please )exist. Imagine breaker exist as an instrument of pure destruction. It exist to prove that existence of magic and espers. Its destiny is to destroy all. As it levels up form 0 - 1. Both hands activated. and as it continues to evolve. Its other form shows up like. A form of a dagger that cuts through material things or rather can cut through anything and a dark light or light surrounding touma serves as automatic shield. It can be used both offense and defense nullifying all super natural existence or rather erasing it.

its becoming more of a shonen manga......... I don't know if I can continue it but maybe if I get my fingers moving other than my mind thinking.

I'm saddened that there isn't much love for the KaorixTouma pairing. Granted they don't have a lot of moments but I still prefer it over the more obvious (and possibly canon?) MikotoxTouma.

There isn't even much details the rest of us are well informed about it, not even the manga helps right now if one were to make a nice fic out of it. All we need now is at least a second season of Index (no, not Railgun) and perhaps we're set to go :heh:

Nobody said that is canon :heh:, the pairing is popular because Mikoto is popular, you know, manytimes the people wants to see happy their favorite character in a romantic way.

... I know that the romance in the novel is not deep but, I hope that the author will surprise me, I saw only 2 anime pairing that surprised me: Akane iro somaru saka & Shuffle!, I can't recall more because the others were superobvious hello! Rumiko T. or forced hello! Toradora LN.

Well, sure in the future(a.k.a Index second season) you(and me) will have more love for secondary characters like Kaori and new ones like Itsuwa ;). Since the third arc, Mikoto doesn't have any relevant rol in the novel plot, Index self is more relevant than Mikoto in that way.*grin*
I don't know how Touma will notice the love of Index, I find that ... interesting, she has been growing and they live together, he is a boy and she is a girl, fufufufuffufu hehehehAHAHAHAHAHAHA<-------- *evil laugh*

That's actually what annoyed me with the series. Harems are so late-1990s/early-2000s. The world really doesn't need more. >_>;;
