or spray your painted eyes with a gloss finish. Seriously don't use the stickers for the eyes. You'll regret it FOREVER.

Why should he regret it. When the time comes for change, one could just remove the sticker and paint it the way he likes. I always use stickers for the eyes and I've never complained. ;)

But why would you want to go and change it if you were satisfied in the first place? Save yourself a step. But hey, if it works for you. I spend a good 5 mins or so painting the eyes of all my gunpla faces. I used the stickers once and it just looked so err....stickerish? But that's just me.

OK model question, how do water-based paints look on gunpla? I always used acrylics, but will water-based ones work also? I gotta save money somewhere, what with gas prices jacking up gunpla prices (someone explain how this is even possible again?!). Will water based paints still look ok if I thin it out with Iso-Alcohol? And what of the overall look at the end? Thanks kindly.

^Because sometimes people may be satisfied in the first place, but can have a change of thought later on. It's natural and happens all the time. It may not happen with you though, obviously.

jackyng222 2008-05-25 17:07

Water Based looks ok, but the problem is that it doesn't stick as well to plastic as acrylics. Also water based takes a lot longer to dry, but it is way safer to use since it is non-toxic.

Kits cost more since high gas prices jack up the production cost in manufacturing too.

acrylics are water based paint what are you talking about =/

Also, nothing wrong with stickers if you do it right (i.e. cut it to the shape of the eye)

Mindless actually uses some custom foil sticker

OK well I have some extra Strike/IMpulse no grades laying around. I'm gonna experiment with the water-based paints to see what it looks like. I guess I shoulda made note that I'm gonna use them in my airbrush. I wonder if that'll matter...oh well. No grades are expendable.

And I gotta admit, that Mindless guy's idea looks good, but where do you find that kind of film...?

Plastic is made from the distillation and refinement of crude oil.

SPEECHLESS.

That's how I can best describe it lol. I mean it looks a hell lot cool, not to mention a hell lot better than its other concoctions. I say, that MG Impulse is looking good and that's surely on my list of things to get :D

StratoSpear 2008-05-28 04:44

Didn't know Musha has a gun with it.... And a very antique one at that...

Well all the suits in Gundam Musou require a ranged attack. Just that this happened to be the one that Musha had.

I like that musket.
