Take exchange rate into account - $1 AU is roughly 73-75 cents US.
And need I point to the "Innocent Starter" Freedom that is posted up every so often as every noob finds it and thinks "OMFG this looks so good I gotta post it up," or the black and gold Strike Freedom that guy did after? Yes, that above link, but I remember there was a gallery of that model posted up somewhere. |

The Strike Freedom done by the same guy had a good paint job, but the proportions were still meh... wings are too small, head seems wrong, etc. |

I must say, this guy's work is absolutely stunning. I especially like the Strike Freedom. I've always had more appreciation for the color black than blue and white... - Tak |
A (Hi-)Nu Gundam modelling competition. Some rather creative entries ... I particularly like the Hi-Nu HWS done up by one of the guys from NetModellers:

Wow, I was looking at those links up there, especially here. And, all I can say is....über.

MG Marasai or Palace Athene
Any talk of a MG Marasai or a MG Palace Athene? I can't wait for the MG Crossbone X-1 Kai Ka. Version, but whats next? Also, to make all of you jealous, I am getting a Perfect Grade Zeta or Mk. II Gundam in a while, so :P

Just need to build it.... :( :heh: I really wish though that they'd make a MG of any MS from GSD. I mean, that MG Freedom coated version isn't really a GSD release in that it's just a repaint....let's see, a MG Windam :heh: I can see many modelers kit bashing a Windam. Ok, I'm just going to continue going on about this, but I am mad about those EAF Mobile Armors....:heh: :uhoh: |

Sorry to be insulting, but simply put, In my opinion, Seed and its sequels are crap. Although they are WAYYY better than G Gundam, which is something we probably can both agree on. The Seed anime(s) were terrible, although the mecha desings were pretty nice, like the Legend Gundam.

I mean, sure, in the anime Saviour Gundam's shining moment was when it shot down a Windam :heh: (j/k) But, the HG 1/144 model kit is nice. And, a 1/100 sized version would have been nicer, but hey, kit bashing is a thought that exists for a reason :heh: |

I have to agree with you guys. I haven't found time to build anything either. I have 2 MGs, 2 HGs, and an SD.
I really want to see a MG Dagger L at least. I know it's pretty much "almost" identical to a Windam...eh whatever, why not have them both as MGs. :P http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f1...2aqme-a4e1.jpg Quote:

it seems recent release of HGUC Powered GM is in all the rage at the moment. And seeing the kit it's amazing how much HGUC line up catches up with MG line up. Guess soon we will see MG line up with as much gimmick/details as PG line up - but then maybe not... :P
while HGUC kit is very lovely indeed as a 1/100 or over scale modeller I couldn't get one so decided to make my own in 1/100 scale. Thanks to Ako Hobby there's a conversion kit to change MG GM Kai into Powered GM. Luckily I got hold of a set some time ago though it sat in my pile of to do boxes till recently. Initially I was out to get the MG GM Quel with the discount sticker on at the local hobby shop I saw on Thursday late night shopping but by the time I went back on Saturday it was gone. D'oh! (Moral of story is if you want one get one on the spot - well easy to say than done coz I had missus looking over my shoulder on Thursday so all I could do was just glancing the box noticing the discount sticker) T^T So instead I got the GM Kai box to work on the Powered GM instead. While I was pulling everything out and trimming I got to think it'd be just stiff GM Kai with the orange armours stuck on and that doesn't really sit well on me so I decided to use one of spare MG Gundam OYW torso and legs for this project instead. It's basically a kitbash if you like. The head and arms from GM Kai while torso and legs are from MG OYW as you can see. One issue I have is since I used the OYW shield modified its grab is bit too loose on GM Kai arm. And GM Kai shield handle piece won't fit on OYW shield either without some modification and by that stage it's been painted, decalled already. Another D'oh! (Or D'oh! D'oh!) I may need to address this issue eventually since every time left arm moves the shield arm holdings bracket will simply slips out... :( Another thing I went bit different from the stock finish is the change of add-on armour colour. I was told the orange colour was based on the old tradition Japanese army used on their prototype/test machines and I wasn't too keen on painting those in orange so I started to mix a few and settled on this light brown with tint of orange... or so I think. In real life it's more of Brown than what it appears on the photo by the way. And a word of advise for anyone who's thinking of getting Ako Hobby conversion kit - there are few spots where the gaps will appear and even after you fixed it will reappear as crack... mine's the same. Once finished do not play with it posing various poses and putting stress on the body... not that Ako Hobby's kit is bad. just that with conversion kit don't expect it'd be snap-tight as Bandai's kit. ^ ^ I still recommend if you can get one go right ahead. You won't be disappointed. Anyway, here is the 1/100 scale Powered GM with the posability in par with MG OYW. Hope you like it... http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/8867/img1027xo2.jpg http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/6065/img1026ru5.jpg |
^^ Everything you touch is just excellent. :P
You make me want to get the Powered GM. |
