To better describe it, the GN Drive itself is made out of three main parts: the middle LED base on which you mount the two LED units at, and the two LED covers that house the lenses and make up the rest of the external GN Drive body. It's the rear LED cover that easily slips out of the assembly, taking the backpack along with it. The front cover and main LED base are apparently snug inside the 00 Qan[T]'s torso, thus requiring "fishing" them out of the body in the event that the rear LED cover slips out :heh:

The solution to the problem then is to simply glue the rear LED cover in place on the LED base to keep the backpack secure. But then once the rear LED runs out you'll have a lot of difficulty replacing its batteries. Unless you're not using LED's in the first place :heh:

While I don't have the MG 00 Qan[T], I've seen this same problem manifest in my MG Exia, and since I didn't have LED's for it I just glued the GN Drive shut. :heh:

I have question regarding Milliput. I have the light grey one that dries within 2-3 hrs in room temperature. I've used it to fill up the open space for the Trikeros shield/gun on my 100 gold frame Amatsu and the various open areas in my SD Blitz Gundam. I did mix a bit too much but its not small enough to really toss out. I've wrapped it up with saran wrap and tossed it in the fridge to preserve it longer. How long will it last on average in a fridge or even a freezer?

We know now at least those bat wings are flexible.

LoweGear 2010-12-02 05:04

Now that's some awesome articulation for the wings, better than the past HG 1/100. :)

I foresee many a kitbash using the Active Cloak to come.

Oh, my bad.

Anyway, while we're on 00Q:

Cute, but unfortunately SDs are not my thing. Too much paint.

But will it still fall off unless I cement the whole drive and backpack onto the main body?

That's one nice gimmick!

GN0010 Nosferatu 2010-12-02 13:27

So much attention is being payed to Wing these days, god I hope some make it into the Robot Damashii line.

I REALLY REALLY need an Aries.

I take back what I said, THAT IS A BEAST. It turned out really well from the look of it. I expected way les flexibility of the Cloak. Go Bandai!
the only weird thing is that the outer "spike" of the wings touches the floor when the cloak's closed and reaper-sama's standing on the ground. Not that it's gonna be posed like that ....

GN0010 Nosferatu 2010-12-03 00:07

I always considered that Deathscythe the "Batman" of Gundams.

Well, if the entire GN drive has been cemented/glued together and snugly fit into the back of the 00 Qan[T], I highly doubt it will fall off. But there's nothing about having to cement/glue it to the torso.

Exia_00 2010-12-03 01:36

are these only solutions for people who dont use LEDs inside their 00Q GN drives?, it would suck if it was glued and you had to replace the batteries, I used Exia's LEDs, i guess i might tighten it but like im only faced with the issue of it falling apart when I move the shoulder binder to the back and want to turn the LEDs, sometimes the rest of the drive gets stuck inside :s I would have thought that their little lock for the GN drive was enough but it isnt.
