It was only a matter of time...

I played through it a little, and also watched random clips here and there...

I don't know if the story delwes deeper or something later on (( I kinda doubt it though )), but I really enjoyed the characters and interaction. Mao-nee = <3

Let's see if JC Staff can capture the overall atmosphere of it. One of the things I like about Kimikiss. :3

You're pretty quick with the thread. I was actually about to start one myself.
Speaking of the game I got a copy last year as soon as it was released. it was worth the time spent on it. I was posting my impressions in the corresponding thread in the games section.
Now I occasionally check the official site. Its a good thing that they keep updating it. Once they redesigned it all yellow with flash installments but then changed back to pink colors. Now it looks quite nice. Notice they offer a new scenario with Nana. It is called mou chotto omake. havent tried it though. Chotto omake was done in the form of bonus disks which came with Tech Gian magazine. I have one disk.
It's that I mean I wouldnt mind watching anime in addition.

KimiKiss pure rouge Cast, etc.

KimiKiss pure rouge Cast

Hoshino Yuumi: Koshimizu Ami
Satonaka Narumi: Mizuhashi Kaori
Mizusawa Mao: Ikezawa Haruna
Sakino Asuka: Hirohashi Ryou
Futami Eriko: Tanaka Rie
Shijou Mitsuki: Noto Mamiko

Two more seiyuu have been confirmed as reprising their roles from the KimiKiss game in the KimiKiss pure rouge anime:

Nana: Nogawa Sakura
Kuryuu Megumi: Nakahara Mai

Pictured from left to right: Mizusawa Mao (Mao-nee); Futami Eriko (Eririn); Hoshino Yuumi (Jimiko?)

It appears that the three characters pictured above are the main characters in the KimiKiss pure rouge anime.

As documented last year in my Otome Kiss thread, Futami Eriko, Mizusawa Mao and Hoshino Yuumi - in that particular order - nearly always finished 1-2-3 in Kimi Kiss game character popularity polls. (The one exception is Mizusawa Mao finishing no. 4 in the 2ch KimiKiss character popularity poll.)

Some fans at 2ch have complained about the anime versions of the KimiKiss girls, such as Yuumi appearing to be a gag character and Mao seemingly losing her "two biggest assets."

Thanks for all the info Siegel Clyne ^_^

Broadcast is scheduled to start in October 2007 :D

Ooh, KimiKiss getting an anime as well? Coolio, will most likely be picking this up :)

I will not miss this one... looks very promising. Rooting for Mao all the way; hopefully she'll get (a lot) further than her predecessors Tamaki-neesan (To Heart 2) and Rin (Fate/Stay Night)...

how do those relate to Mao i dont understand btw i was a huge Rin fan so what gives?

Btw this is gona be a harem right? Lol i cant wait for this one to Air but i think its comming out at the wrong time it has to many great Harems running along side it such as Clanned.

DanielSong39 2007-07-24 01:55

Mao plays that "nee-san" role to a T, just like Tamaki and Rin... hopefully the guy won't be blind this time.

By the way, what other dating sims are coming out? Among Fall shows, D.C. II is the big one, but can't think of any others. I don't think Clannad is coming out until next year.

DanielSong39 2007-07-24 02:10

By the way, is Yuumi the title character of KimiKiss? If so, it seems that a lot of Eriko fans will be disappointed...

Still rooting for a Mao ending; I'd love to have an imouto like Nana as well... what a lucky guy!

Honey_and_Cleaver 2007-07-26 09:31

Whats this? A harem? I searched that Jun Fukuyama is the only male seiyuu mentioned, and i think hes much of an overused seiyuu already that im getting bored at, its enough that ive already heard him in Inukami,Busou Renkin and To Heart.

Don't forget Lelouch from Code Geass.

I hope this has drama as well as romance.

The start of broadcast is narrowing down. We have a month: October 2007. It seems this season is going to have an overwhelming number of shows airing in October.

From MOON PHASE.

A promotional video from Comic Market 72:

Looks like Yuumi will be the title character, though Eriko and Mao fans are likely to have their fill as well.

Somewhat disappointed that Nana didn't have more screen time in the promo - seeing an imouto-chan's antics always adds spice to a dating sim adaptation. If you ask me she should have a bigger role than everyone except the three girls cast as the leads.

If Mao isn't the chosen girl (it doesn't look too likely), then I hope she embraces the nee-san role. That would leave Yuumi and Eriko to fight things out for Kyouichi's hand.

Lunacy 2007-08-30 21:34

Since this anime will be directed by Kenichi Kasai and J.C.Staff, I am really looking forward it!

I don't have any experience with the game but will Tomoko (I hope I got this right) make an appearance in the anime? Ayako Kawasumi was her seiyuu, right? It would be wonderful to see Ayako Kawasumi in KimiKiss anime but I guess she is burned out from her roles of Nodame, Mikan Natsu and Otoha? ;;

Also, does anyone know what the name of the song that plays during the opening of the PS2 game?

Kaoru Chujo 2007-09-05 16:09

The anime home page lists the cast as Siegel Clyne did on post #5. In that order. Yuumi (Koshimizu Ami) listed first. No male seiyuu listed at all. The cast looks outstanding. The director looks outstanding.

This fall, Kawasumi Ayako stars in Mokke and Shion no Ou, and is also in Genshiken 2. She'll be busy enough.

DragoonKain3 2007-09-05 20:18

Anybody mind making a short summary (one or two lines) of each girl? I usually can find stuff like that over the net via google or wiki, but sadly not for this one despite being somewhat popular from what I hear. Any help to get me more hyped up about this series is appreciated. :heh:
