ABS is a heavyduty plastic. its very strong, even when its pretty thin. that makes it perfect for the inner frame of a model. |
the nemo is pretty great, i can recommend it^^ posing is alright but from what i have seen on dalnog.net it should be better. no idea why mine isnt moving that well since i have no idea what the guy who put it together did with it :P
but this pose will have to do for now: http://www.abload.de/img/img_0103ofx5a.jpg |

Ah, not bad, Appel. Not bad at all ^_^. Might be better if you broke a piece from the top of the shield. |

Dat shiny gold adds quite a bit, at least to me.

I hate chrome parts. But I would prefer to strip the chrome off and then give it a metallic sheen with paint.
|
Have started on the Mg Banshee....painted the fin n collar gold
|
I always thought glowing orange would fit the Banshee's psychoframe the most, I even remember reading somewhere that it was called psychoflame. :eyespin::heh:

That's true. But the fin and collar aren't a part of the psychoframe. They're kind of yellowy gold on the model, so I understand if you'd want to paint that.
edit: Sort of ninja'd by Appel... |

there is still some yellow poking through though as it seems^^ i think a second layer of paint would be a good idea.
also, to get a really nice gold effect a third coat of clear yellow would look great! thats how the manual of the HG banshee recommends it for example. |
yea,, am about to do 2nd/3rd layer of coating for the gold, just touching up as a base 1st

and will you try the clear yellow? personally i love the effect. |

i always prefer regular paints over markers. although i still have some metallic gold spray paint... im will probably use that for my banshee. if the bloody thing ever arrives that is >__> im not used to waiting for gunpla that long. |

Speaking of which, I hope that my SD Age-1 (3 of them) and Action Base 2 gray (3 of them) arrive by Monday. I might be in the mood to actually build GunPla. :D :D |

the problem is that they screwed up my order. i pre-ordered the banshee with EMS shipping which usually takes a week. but because i ordered a different kit with SAL shipping their weird ordering system switched all my orders to SAL. my MG RX-79(G) was here after 13 days. now im waiting for 3 weeks already. and im like a hyper and super impatient little kid when im waiting for packages... not to mention that it might end up at the customs office >__> |
Quote:
i learned that lesson when i ordered from HLJ... the wait time + custom charge on my card... >_< not worth it. good thing for amazon and my awesome friends at gg infinite. =D by the way, what country do you live in? maybe i can find you a good online retailer or maybe ask gg infinite to hook you up... |

and besides, trading wont do us any good^^ the kits in america are too expensive for me and we both would have to wait ages for them to arrive. not to mention that all my packages from america have ended up at the customs office so far. |
Quote:
Why not just use the FedEx option at HLJ? |
Quote:
edit: HLJ also gives a permanent 20% discount on EMS shipping which makes it very affordable. in some weird cases FedEx is less expensive than EMS but three weeks after your package was delivered they always send you a bill. you then have to pay the customs fees and delivery fees. that makes it a lot more expensive than EMS in total in every case. |

there is a reason why there are no good stores for gunpla here. its just isnt popular enough in europe. for example, in america you have bluefin which distributes bandais models in the US. here in germany we have bupkis. as far as i know bandai only distributes gunpla in italy. |
Gundam AGE: Gundam AGE-3 Orbital & Gundam AGE-3 Fortress - Coco Manga (May Issue)

Orbital looks the fastest among the three, but definitely doesn't look speedy like Zeydra. As far as I can remember, it has a long range rifle but can't see that in the pics. |
Orbital and Fortress, huh? I like what I see.

Uh... purple combined with light blue? :uhoh: Suddenly, the red-blue combination doesn't look that bad anymore. :heh: |
Where do you see purple?
