Judging from the size of its foot in relation to the Action Base 5, I'd say the prototype is 1/100 so the HGUC 1/144 is out of the picture. The grade remains to be seen, though.

If this is MG, they would be updating the armor purge gimmick

Though yeah, it does look rather slapdash, though it does give it a bit more character compared to the Unicorn.

I think thats the whole point, that mobile suit was never meant to go into combat in the first place so it's mostly just bare frame.

But because it's mostly bare frame it made the suit very customizable.

They released some photos for the MG Dynames. I'm a little worried about the whole torso separation to achieve prone position, since that might weaken the kit, and I wonder if the optics and camera will have at least a blue foil seal to make it look sharper. Beyond this, the model does look pretty sharp, so I'm wondering if this will be something worth picking up.

The waist separation actually looks kinda awkward and unnatural there :heh:

Also MG Exia 2.0 when?

Infinite Zenith 2019-02-06 00:17

From an aesthetic standpoint, the arms and armour plating will hide it, but I'm more concerned with the structural integrity of this design :eyespin:

justavisitor 2019-02-06 16:36

there is probably a lock or click in front to make it hold and sturdy

The Gundam Alex prototype is confirmed to be MG. And the next RG is the Gundam Crossbone X1.
Source is Bandai Hobby Twitter.

eh, an MG, it's okay, i hope they one day made an HGUC Revive Alex, the Tristan gave the Alex a bad rep. :heh:

Very tempted myself.

Will this kit pave a way to MG Re-GZ 2.0? On one hand, I'm glad Re-GZ Custom is made into MG. But on the other hand, I'm kinda sad to see Re Custom dumped to be a "bridge" kit coz it's obvious that they didn't do enough fixing for the legs of the old MG Re-GZ mold:

LOL, I keep forgetting how the ReGZ Custom's rifle looks like an AK47. I'm suddenly imaining it wearing a shemagh...

It's been a while since I built a model, and my MG Dynames arrived earlier today. I didn't know English instructions were a part of models now.

They kind of started with or just before Build Divers, I think. My GM Sniper Customer and Sniper II MG instructiosn had english text as did most of the current crop of HGs. I think it's mainly because Bandai now realizes there's actually an English Speaking market for model kits.

To be more precise, they started putting dedicated English text in the manuals during the release of IBO S2 kits. Bandai probably noticed how much attention IBO has drawn for the western audience after S1. IBO S1 also marked the return of Gundam to Toonami in the US IIRC.

Anyone reckon we might see a reissue/rerelease of the PG Phenex with parts to match its appearance in NT?

Even though the lore says that the Unicorn is the only one capable of withstanding a beam magnum recoil so it has that gimmick , I wanna say that this one is a budget Neo Zeong with legs.

Rising Dragon 2019-03-27 14:20

Apparently Banagher's Silver Bullet has to switch hands every time it uses the Beam Magnum, so Unicorn is still the only one that can utilize it.

Either way it's stupid. >.>
