Cool.

Is it easy enough to convert back and forth, or is it somewhat fiddly?

you cant convert back. You have to choose either Avalanche Exia mode or norm Exia mode.

Nerroth 2009-01-30 23:32

I see - thanks for the clarification.

That's why I got both.

When exactly will the Seraphim come out? I wanna get it after/with the Seravee.

(And does it come with all of the standard Exia parts, so you can go back and forth between configurations, or is it different enough so that it can only be assembled in Avalanche mode?)

(This is something I posted before for someone with the same question, and I have revised due to recent circumstances):

I really like Avalanche Exia. It looks really nice and detailed, even before painting. I have 4 problems with it, though, and 2 of them are likely just my problems.

1. The blue butt skirt thing. It has those bendy purple plastic things, that all the first season Gundams have, to connect it to Exia's back. Anyway, my problem is that they don't stay in the skirt well, so they stick out. Not really a problem, but a gripe that could probably easily be fixed (scotch tape/glue?).

2. The legs are kinda loose. For such a bulky kit, they could have done a better job with the leg-to-hip plastic cap joints. Again, could probably be fixed, but at the risk of the cap expanding and breaking.

3. I don't have anywhere to display it because all of my other kits are 1/144 sized. :D

4. This might just be me using too much paint thinner (I am by no means a pro because I mess up alot), but the pieces on mine, when painting, kept breaking recently. If you don't paint your kits, then you're fine. Just be careful with paint thinner if you do paint.

Overall, even with my problems, I'd say buy it. You will probably have more luck than me anyway.

Hope this helps a little more.

HG Seraphim comes out February 12th, along with the HG 00 Raiser.

looks pretty good can''t wait for the HG one

Edit: Just how long we have to wait for Arche and Masurao :uhoh:

Exia_00 2009-01-31 03:32

so the 1/144 00 Raiser is just both the 00 gundam n 0 raiser in a pack, no bonuses? like the CB stand for the 1/100?

LightningZERO 2009-01-31 03:55

00 Raiser has lighter color, and special decals. It's called 'designer color' on the boxart

The HG 00 Raiser set has lighter colored plastic, special designs for the GN Condenser stickers, and dry decals of the Celestial Being logo.

I can already smell the "new toy smell" of the RD Ahead.

In regards to the left arm of Amatsu (the non-Blitz one), I cannot get rid of the ugly panel line on its "wrist" due to the gold plated parts. I mean, it's damn near impossible without completely ridding myself of the gold and repainting the whole thing, which is just a shame :(

Cherudim Arche 2009-01-31 20:17

For panel lining and coloring, is it important to get specific series markers to the models of that series. Take a example, using gundam 00 markers for 00, kyrios, or virtue. In general, do colors, regardless or series of markers, make that much of a difference, even when it isn't from that series at all for other models.

Sir Dearka 2009-01-31 20:21

It's nice to see you like my Dearka/Buster collection, guys. I am still waiting for my First Grade Buster and HG Gunner Zaku to join the entourage :D And then I start hunting for the petite Studio Dearka I saw the other day with the set. When the movie is out, I bet it'll grow even more!

As for Gold Frame Amatsu, I am happy with it. Maybe it is not poseable like most Master Grades, but it still looks better than many of the masterly lot :)
