From the way it looks to me. I think the only difference is the side skirt armor on the hips

The HG Masurao will have all the Tri-Punisher mechanisms removed and replaced with fixed parts, and of course all the cosmetic changes of the Masurao <- Susanowo will be present (lack of left-side forearm armor, different horn shape etc). Poseability and assembly wise though, it'd probably be more or less the same kit.

Side skirts look better on the Masurao though. I just completed my Susanowo, planning to gattai it with Arche. The side skirts are extremely flimsy, and the leg joints are weak. Hopefully the Masurao will fix those. Arche on the other hand, has great mobility and details on the kit. I had a great time panel lining that one.

I'll post pics up in a week. ;)

Thanks for the quick replies guys :D I think I'll get the Masurao when it comes out. It looks really nice in certain poses!

... so that's where the Masurao kept its beam sabers.

Kuroshinobu 2009-12-07 03:07

The Masurao is looking good.

SonicSP 2009-12-07 04:16

Dunno why but the Masuruo is really looking awesome right. It looks like the possability may be better than the Susanowo, though maybe their just pictures.I really hate the Susanowo's leg joints.

Always loved the Masuruo colors more anyway as well as the beam sabers.Looking forward to this one.

just got my PG 00 raiser today :), cant wait to start building it, really happy that all of the 00 Gundam's features and articulation are going to be there, had a brief look at the parts, the effect parts ARE FREAKIN' HUGE!!! The GN sword III effect part is about 20cm, THATS LONGER THAN A 1/100 KIT!!!!!!

i'm just drooling over the box rite now.... cant wait to get into building it :D

LightningZERO 2009-12-07 05:40

I wish I have the money....here's hoping a MG version

SonicSP 2009-12-07 06:30

^^Yeah,900 bucks for a piece of plastic seems a tad overpriced.I'm hoping for a good MG version in the near future.

900 bucks????? i dont know what country ur from but if ur in the US or something and a retailer is charging u 900 bucks, i give u permission to backhand that retailer in the face real hard:D

i got this off HLJ last week with their promotion, got this for 25% off + plus free shipping :p after all it's a PG kit, so its bound to be expensive, but i've always wanted to get a PG kit, and i only want one PG (damn if i bought multiple PGs, i'd be out on the streets in no time... although i would be accompanied by my armada of PG kits lol ;))

i'll most likely quit gunpla by the end of next year (when i graduate from uni), so i think now is the right time to invest a bit of money and time to building a great kit as i'm in the middle of my holidays

i think its more likely that we'll see a MG seven sword 00, they like doing variations in MG form (see SEED sidestory kits such as Noir, IWSP strike... etc.)

LoweGear 2009-12-07 08:10

SonicSP is from Malaysia, and after checking prices it really is almost 900 ringgit :heh:

Had that been in dollars I'd give the retailer more than just a backhand :uhoh:
