I cant seem to get the desired transparency and color for the beam saber blades. Does anyone have tips on how to get a clear bright pink for them? Another problem i have is getting a solid color pink for beam sabers to make a fading color effect. I can stain a white enamel pink with clear red Tamiya but its probably not the most effective way to do it.

Ah, I'm trying to imitate the HG00 series's beam saber plastic color on a clear plastic for ages so I can create "beam effects" but haven't tried it out.

I wonder whether clear red+clear will work?

I havent tried yet but imo i think the clear red will probably overpower the clear as i has no strength against red. It might work maybe if you mix it with other Tamiya clear paints. My short cuts for that so far were sharpie markers GNZ red/orange and blue 00.

Master Grade Qan-T - very good classic looks! Though I like Exia's design better, especially the sword.

I'm hoping the clear will help dilute the red and weaken it. If they'll even mix that is.

Wow, that looks quite neat. How long did that take?

I'm starting to like the Braves a bit more more from this pics, even the blue one which I think is horrendous.

But 00 Qan(T), man is starting to turn into a piece of art. I'm hoping the articulation and balance doesn't disappoint.

00 Qan(T) also looks good with the A and C Bits combo there.

It would have been cool if the Bits can fly around though, as in a stand given for that. Or those custom wires we saw previously. (but included)

Sir Dearka 2010-11-01 14:40

Yeah... to think of it I kinda like Qan[T]'s big rifle mode :] Classic hero-Gundam design, perfectly balanced. Guess I shall wait for Nghee Khiong's opinion until I just might decide... :D And watch the movie, of course...

Wow!
That Sazabi is sweet. :)

Congrats on a job well done.

A question: If I were to get the 00 Gundam Seven Swords kit [with the huge ol' buster sword] and a seperate 0 Raiser kit, would that allow me to display it in whatever configuration [GN Sword II/III, 00Gundam/00Raiser, Seven Swords etc] I chose?
I suppose what I'm really asking is:
*Would getting those two kits get me the GN Sword III, and
*Is there anything about the 007S that would stop me detaching the Seven Swords equipment and attaching 0 Raiser?

No. The GN Sword III only comes in the kits 00R+GNS3, TAR, and 00R Condenser.

Yeah. The Buster Sword and Buster Rifle are attached to the Drives where the binders of the 0 Raiser are attached. So it's either 7S or Raiser, not both.

Tch, figures it wouldn't be that simple to get all the options. Ah, well.

Other than that, I'm assuming the parts are easily switchable? Ie, they haven't changed the shape of the drives or shoulder connection points any, and the same shoulder drive will easily accept either a Raiser binder or a Buster Sword without modification?

Yup, no modifications. The GN Buster Sword II, GN Sword 2 Blaster and the O-Raiser wings use the same mounting points on the GN Drives, so you can swap them at will.

SonicSP 2010-11-02 08:27

Yep, they're all equipment for the 00 Gundam.

Your lucky though, some of us likelyself have ended up with 6-7 00s.

velocity7 2010-11-02 09:04

I actually put together a 00 Raiser Seven Sword/G kit amongst the others here:

http://naomi.thewafflehouse.net/blog...rom-gundam-00/

Of course, you can't fit the weapons onto the wing binders, but it'll have to do.

One new image of the Metal Build 1/100 00 Gundam Seven Sword:

http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...ons/MB007S.jpg

It's essentially a Designer's color 007S with Perfect Grade styling. Honestly not really interested much due to its hefty price tag. Will wait for a MG 00 Raiser for my 1/100 00 Gundam fix. :heh:

GN0010 Nosferatu 2010-11-02 16:23

I already got the RD 007S with double the weapons, so I are pass. :D

it may work but it'll have to be a good amount of clear for 1 drop of clear red. i havent gone more than 10 drops of clear for the red yet. so far the clear red overpowers the clear quite a bit. i think i'll bite the bullet and buy the clear pink tamiya and continue some tests with it.

the GN katars look much nicer with the green trim... now if i can find where i threw them. >.<

Images of the HG Braves manual:

Braves have GN Missiles it seems, and the thing on the back is confirmed as a large GN condenser. And I'm still wondering what the Chakram Grenade is supposed to be...

Chiu_fan 2010-11-03 08:54

From what I can read, it says it has a GN Cannon and the Tri-punisher, but where are they located? Also where did the GN Condenser come from?
