In need of some suggestions. I've recently started tinkering with some of my recent Gunpla and decided to do some customizing. I've made two kitbash concepts:

Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread)
As you may have noticed, both customs have the ECOAS Jegan as the base, which is actually intentional. I'm hoping to work on the second concept - which is intended to be a flight-type Gunpla. So far I have these Gunpla in hand:
- ECOAS Jegan
- Jesta Cannon
- Byarlant Custom
- Hazel Custom
- TR-5 Hrairoo

Also I have some unassembled Gunpla in my backlog:
- Mega Shiki
- EZ-Sr
- Delta Kai

Lets clarify some things first to help us help you

1. Are you willing to go buy additional kits?

2. Are you sticking to kitbashes? Or are you open/capabe of modding/more extensive customs?

3. Do you want to stick to primarily UC/Build fighter parts?

4. By "Flight type", are you referring to a machine equipped to fly under gravity? And what sort of flight type? A unit loaded out with thrusters/fuel to do so? Or a simple flight pack add on like the Aile Strike?

5. Does it have to complement your current 2 projects? (Does it have to have a Jegan base?)

6. Is it safe to assume you are going to paint everything over?

1. Not at this point. But I'm open to suggestions for future sprees.

2. Kitbashes only. Along with occasional switching of polycaps.

3. As of now, yes. Main reason is AU Gunpla tend to be smaller than UC's. But of course, I'm open to differences.

4. I'm... actually sort of torn for this part. Though I would favour a unit that can fly under its own power, under gravity.

5. It does not have to complement. But it needs to have a Jegan base.

6. Yes.

Ok, one last question I failed to ask:

By "second concept" does that mean you are going to build 2 units? Or are you only going with one design you like the best?



As for your "flight concept", oddly enough your second one actually falls into that category very well IMO, since it takes from the Byarlant, which is known for its ability to fly under gravity without any assistance. On top of that it got plenty to thrusting power from the parts you used.

Another angle is to have parts swapped onto the Jegan from the TR-5 Hrairoo, which is also another unit capable of atmosphere flight, though I imaging this will be much harder on a kitbash level since the Hrairoo is a transforming MA, and I would assume the build is much more different

Im not that familiar with the Hazel's and their capabilities, so I cant recommend any of their parts or boosters atm

Also for the Shiki and Delta, those are probably mostly going to be left to the side imo, their parts are not quite as compatible as the other kits listed. Out of the bunch, the Jegan, Jesta, EZ-8, and Hazel's have the best synergy, and none are quite a "flight type" aside from the SR, which was actually shown to be quite capable of flight unlike the otehrs in BFT

I'm going with the design that suits best actually. Those two pictures on top are showing the same Jegan. Indeed using parts from flight-type Gunpla is the idea...

...then there's weaponry. Another thing is the cringeworthy absence of knee guards on the second concept. Not sure what I could fit there :heh:

I doubt that. Both the G-Self and G-Arcane are labelled Gundam G-Self and Gundam G-Arcane. I guess the Gaeon isn't supposed to be a Gundam.

Worth it IMO for an exclusive thats not just a straight up recolor, and comes with some pretty cool accessories

And its nowhere near the price of the special edition version that comes with the video game
