Well with Seed/GSD the focus the focus was totally around the main characters. With G00 the focus is around all 4 of them despite it being said the Setsna is the main character. At least for now the series feels based around the 4 of them. And although I see Setsuna being central to G00 overall story, I don't see the other 4 dropping to the sides so long as they aren't killed. I know I'd be in heaven if there was an MG Kyrios, but I'd buy them all MG if they came out.

Are you kidding. At the rate their releasing 00 kits, one of the next MG's will be the Exia for sure.

Impulse got far more kits than Exia did (so far at least), but it didn't make it to MG. I'm guessing it depends on overall kit sales, something which only Bandai knows about.

Terra 2008-01-15 11:40

Impulse had multiple forms so more kits was a given.

DarkWarrior 2008-01-15 13:07

True, but even if you count only the Force Impulse model kits, there's still more than Exia.

And I would say that the possibility of a MG Exia is still up in the air, rather than a definite thing as some people are saying.

Terra 2008-01-15 13:30

Impulse was also really a Strike rip-off. G00 is a new series unlike GSD. So it definately has a higher chance.

I'm quite sure Impulse won't get any MG treatment, in the next 2-3 years.
It's design is... err... worse than Strike.:eyebrow:

What I really want in the SEED/GSD are Sword/Launcher Striker packs for MG or PG Strike

Hey I was wondering if you guys could give me some help on hand-painting. I'm painting with Vallejo acrylics thinned 1:1 with Tamiya thinner and I keep getting these little specs on the surfaces. I can't figure out where they are coming from, but I can't get rid of them! At first I thought it was particles from the cardboard surface that I am painting on, which is where I set my brush down, or the paper towls I was using to wipe things off, but after keeping the brush from touching anything but paint and plastic, I still cant get the damned things to go away. Here's a pic:

Nothing Bee-CRAFT can't fix. :heh: Although yes, an MG Impulse, despite it's status as a main character mech, seems slim with the recent focus on 00 and all.

Which Tamiya thinner did you buy? If you're using Vallejo, you should be buying acrylic thinner, the one with white cap and labelled X-20A Arcrylic Thinner (duh).

Yep, thats the one.

You can remove the paint with the thinner you have. Moisten a piece of paper towel or q-tip and rub off the the paint. The use a toothbrush and some dishwashing liquid to scrub and make sure the surface is lint free. If that fails, get some high concentrate (91%is good) isopropyl alcohol.

Since you're painting blue and the other surfaces are white, buy a can of matte white spray paint. The matte nature of the spray paint is very important. This will provide a good surface for your Vallejo to handbrush on nicely.

Those particles look like they are caused by beading, usually caused by too glossy a surface (most likely) or water-based paint mixing with a greasey substance (less likely).

Well, definitely helps to read the specs on the paints; these are in fact water based acrylics. Just mixed some with water and it spreads perfectly!

Actually, you can use windows cleaner as well. It works even better than water.

And that's interesting for your situation about Tamiya acrylic thinner not working for you. I've never encountered the problem you had. I've used it with Citadel and Tamiya acrylic paints as well as Vallejo and never had problems. And yes, I have used window cleaner and water with them as well without any problems.

Maybe you could post a picture of the thinner you bought and it's smell.

That makes two of us. Why Bandai decided to put this series under their bed and completely forget about it is beyond me.

Anyway, an MG Exia should be on the way. I mean, what better way to promote the series, right? ;)

U<3Anime 2008-01-19 23:13

X is like the only AU series that hasn't received a MG treatment yet. :<

I prefer a MG X Divider >_>
