Damn, still no sign of a Damashii Reborns Gundam... But, the Arche and Gadess are looking pretty damn good.

Hey, I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't have time to take a gander through 695 pages of conversation. I'm in Hong Kong right now, and there is a sale on the Gundam Wing Pearl Coated Custom Gundam (PG), and i want to know what is the difference between that one and the one from 7 years ago, the original Gundam Wing Custom (PG), because the price is from $284 USD and $134 USD; Pearl and Normal, respectively.

I guess a more reasonable question would be, if purchasing the Pearl is worth it, or if it's Bandai's way of getting $150 for a new paint job.

Also, if both are not that great, would a Astray Red Frame (PG) be worth it?
I really want to just try out a PG since I didn't know kits beyond MG were available till recently, besides those 3, the only ones that interested me were a Hong Kong Metal-Kit, special, MRX-009 Psycho Gundam, and of course the infamous Unicorn.

Of those 5, what would you buy (in order) and why?
(haha, sorry i guess there are a lot of questions).
Thanks for your time.

i dont think the pearl is worth it you can get the same effect with paint if you really want the look. So i think its a rip off.

Well, the pearl is slightly see-through. So you can get a similar effect, just minus the see-through part.
It depends on your preference. If you're fine with the original colors for Wing Zero, then you can stick with it. If you don't mind paying extra for the Pearl, then get it.

edit: (nah, need to base on experience)
The Strike and Red Frame have really good inner frames.

Well, the only PG I've built is the AEUG Mk. II, and personally, I think it's an awesome kit. It's cheaper than the Zero and Red Frame too, if that matters at all.

it just so happens that i finished my SFFB just a few weeks ago, one of the my fav MGs by far (along with my beloved Hi-nu MG). Fully painted and topcoat with matt paint. sorry about the pic quality, my camera battery ran out so i used my phone. the gold parts do make the kit much better and the detachable dragoon system is pretty awesome

and for people who ever wondered if you applied gloss topcoat on to gold plated parts, 'would it make it even more glossier???' The answer is Nooooooooo, i tried it on the gold runners and it practically dissolved the gold plating lol

Not many people know this, but 00 Gundam has a "Complete Form", which allows him to draw power from all protagonist Gundams from previous series. The power is so overwhelming, 00 Gundam loses his ability to activate the Trans Am mode, as his body turns from the original color scheme to silver.

Reborn and 00 7S looks really sweet :upset:

That reminds me of Regnant was like to be a 'Devastator' from Transformers ROF I mean Look at the size of that thing compared to HG models.

heres some images of my hi-nu MG, in terms of detail and effort i definitely spend more time on the hi-nu, but the SFFB is just one of my most fav gundams even thought i'm slightly anti-kira :D i also posted up a pic of my MG wing custom and some 00 kits. i also have a MG freedom and destiny but i need to fix up some stuff on them...

in terms of how i made the 00 gundam's o raiser wings maintain that position, well its kinda luck i guess, when i started it, it always sags, but i think the trick is to make sure the PC part (the little rubber thing) is tight and secure, after that it worked although a strong jolt would make it sag again.... i'm sure the MG or PG will fix that issue (cant wait for it to be released ><)

Ive had my Hi Nu for a few years now and those little clear plastic things pretty much all snapped in half after time so that sucked.

*wants to answer this "mystery"*
Well, if you put the 00's GN Drive like this;
http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/5985/img6118t.th.jpg
It will likely stay up. All you need to do is turn it about 90 degrees as you can see in the pic and "push it in" to tighten the connection. =P I think that's what darkstrife actually did.
