Well, if you look at the parts commonality for it and compare it to the others it's no big surprise, really.

I second a 1/100 Forbidden.

I find it weird that they would release the Amatsu RE2 instead of the RE1. But knowing bandai they always get as much from a mold as possible (all the zaku) so it wouldn't surprise me if we get a RE1 in the the near future.

As much as I would like to have a 1/100 Ginn or Guaiz I think a 1/100 Strike Noir might come around first.

PS: Is there a IWSP pack for the MG Strike? I remember seeing one but I can't find it anywhere.

Thanks.

I think there was a resin kit that made the IWSP but I'm not sure who made it.

theOtherGuy 2006-07-10 15:12

I don't know about you guys, but I enjoyed watching this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9duFa...&search=Gundam Such steady hands... :(

xtwisted 2006-07-10 16:42

After watching part 1 of that video I was wondering what kind of sandpaper he was using and where I could find it. Thanks alot =D

theOtherGuy 2006-07-10 16:49

Well, it looks like sandpaper that you can pick up from an Ace Hardware store...don't know...

kct 2006-07-10 21:31

I think grade 1000 or something like that, not available in your typical hardware shop. You could try your local ACE though, heard there is some of those high-grade sandpapers there (here at least).

xtwisted 2006-07-10 22:33

Do you think it's possible to find the sandpaper (I don't know which kind) in online stores? Under hobby supplies???

theOtherGuy 2006-07-10 22:48

I don't believe it's worth buying sandpaper online. You have to pay shipping for something so small.

You might be able to find them online. But I would check your local hardware store I don't know about where other people live. where I am you can find that kind of higher grade sandpaper at Home Depot. I think it depends on where you live try your local hardware store if not then maybe online but I don't think its worth it online.

xtwisted 2006-07-10 23:45

Alright, thanks alot for your help!

viper 2006-07-11 00:43

Try automotive body shops. They might carry finer grades of sandpaper/polishing pads for automotive paint/body work.

I tend to order all my supplies online in bulk including paints, brushes, putty, sandpaper and the like so shipping cost isn't a concern for me.

Pics of the Master Grade F-91 model

Behold that beautiful sucker.

LightningZERO 2006-07-11 08:06

Sweet!!! But is it the same size as other Master Grade?

SNT1 2006-07-11 08:20

its as tall as a 1/144 Nu Gundam / Sazabi / any other larger-than average 1/144.

bout a head shorter than the AU 1/100s.

I noticed this tonight. The knee joints, feet, and arms of the Infinite Justice and Legend were nearly identical.

Here's what I got pre-panel lines. The Legend just looks too plain without them. Really not digging the stickers either. I think I'll have to find a brush and paint.

Holy cow, way too big. Time to shrink.

Much better.

Akyra 2006-07-12 02:46

Wow. They look good. Just wondering, does the Legend stand come with the lil name tags as well? Or it's just a name tag for Legend Gundam? Can you post a few pics with the two models on the same stand as well?

Treize Khushrenada 2006-07-12 02:50

Thanks. The Legend came with the tag but just a sticker for the Legend. There are parts to adapt the stand to accommodate the Destiny and the Strike Freedom. I don't have the Destiny but I have a Strike I can try and put on it. Gimme a few.

There you go. There's a different part for the Destiny. You can see it at the base of the stand in the first picture.

Akyra 2006-07-12 07:02

So is it true that you can fit two gundams on the legend stand? I've heard you can fit all 4...but i seriously don't see how that's possible.

M_Flores 2006-07-12 07:08

A custom made MG ∞ Justice, if anyone hasn't seen it yet:

X207 2006-07-12 08:48

is it just a normal inf justice with a bright red coat of paint?

Uh no. Look closely, a lot of things were changed.. they made the beam cannons a lot smaller, added thrusters to the shoulder armor, added some flaps to the backpack, and various other things I won't bother to mention.

It looks really good too.. thumbs up.

I have a Sazabi. Things you will want to look out for, mainly the funnels. They do not stay in their racks very well. Be careful with the head fin too. Apart from that, no other problems I have encountered yet.

Re2 Amatu, IMHO, is the best looking 1/100 SEED release....

Gevurah 2006-07-12 16:44

With Stargazer coming along, I decided to mess with my PG Strike. ^^

As soon as I get the PG Skygrasper + Aile Striker kit in the mail, I'll see if I can do a little custom job to create a makeshift pre Noir Striker pack.

Shinji103 2006-07-12 17:04

Mmmmeh, the PG Strike is a good model in terms of detail yes, but there're too many lines on it from all the moveable panels and armor. Makes it look ugly. >.>

Gevurah 2006-07-12 23:28

Really? When I first saw the PG release, I thought it made Strike look way better, especially over Okawara's Strike design. Complexity in the MS designs have always been a plus for me, which is why I love the Gundam Sentinel models. I wish they came out with a Xeku Zwei 1/100 release. >.<

kct 2006-07-13 00:05

Then Bandai should make a real 1/100 MG Gundam Mk.V then >.> .

Knightmare213 2006-07-13 00:34

Alright, so I declared myself that I'm going to buy a gunpla model and build one to put it one my shelf. And I have!

I bought a 1/144 HG Red Frame and completed it within three days (I had lot of spare time on my hands). It just needs a bit of painting and its done and I can move on. However, there are advices I need to ask.

I had used a simple kitchen scissor to cut out the parts and had a lot of problems about the parts not fitting in because of the edges I neglected.

Also, I have a shaky hand and not much of an artistic guy. I also have stubby fingers and dropped a part of two that was vital to the practical completion of the model. I was wondering how I should ready myself for the next model (most likely the 1/100 HG ZAKU Phantom) and what kind of painting equipments I should buy.

azn_chopsticks_boi 2006-07-14 06:05

hey, i am new to this:heh: , but could any1 post any sites where i can get som gundam models :)

thx!!:D

Completed my first Gunpla couple of days ago, hereīs some pics:

I just didnt like original colors, but painting was bit hard when you only have handbrush. Atleast now it looks like itīs been hammered by weather/mother nature.
Decals are from various models (atleast in 3 places there reads "warning, ejection seat", in Finnish :D )
Opinions&Comments welcomed :)

I'm just wondering how you did that effect, the "mother nature." I'm guessing that you used a brown-colored paint for the dirt effect on the legs but others:confused: ...it's just making me scratch my head.

Mind if you share your secrets?

word of the day is
Chalk (like the kind you write at chalkboard in school)

Brown dirt effect and white frosty/snowy effect was done with light brown and white chalk. you first draw with chalk where you want this effect and after that you use brush and brush over the chalked areas until effect sort of softens.

Black and oily looking places were done with nice bit of weathering with black color&thinner

dbj 2006-07-14 10:22

i do not have much expierence with models i had only 2. im wondering is mg a big difference compare to hg? hg are cheap and comes out with models first, i know.ive seen many hg model pictures and they look soo nice but when come to building myself it doesnt look all that. just want to hear opinions.

I disagree, I think it looks incredible. Gevurah's one even more so, Strike Noir's colours suit it incredibly well

Hehe, thanks!

A Black Strike + the ridiculous Grand Slam sword FTW. I was rather surprised at how well the colors came out. I personally didn't like Strike Noir's face place design over the original Strike, so that was a big thing in making my PG Strike into a Strike Noir type color scheme.
