And while we're at it, I'd like to see a 1/144 sized Destroy Gundam. Yes, you heard me right, 1/144 sized, but chances are you are thinking differently :heh:

Let me explain. I'd like to see a Destroy the size of the average 1/144 Hg models, which would probably throw it into the 1/300 area, but hey, my 1/144 average HG size sounds better :heh:

that dude has a scratch built destroy under his 1/144 link. But I think it was scratch built onto a 1/144 model.

M_Flores 2007-01-15 19:50

Maybe the 100th MG is a Colony Devil? XD

Anyways, I really wouldn't mind an MG of the original Wing Zero. No Endless Waltz, no Ver Ka, just the original TV Wing Gundam Zero - I've been wanting to see a better proportioned, Neo Bird Mode done right.

Otherwise, the only other thing I'd ever get is an MG ∞ Justice Gundam to match my SF (with silver joints! lol and an effect part to display the backpack in flight, lol), however rather unlikely seeing as though there isn't even an MG of the stock Justice Gundam.

dagr81 2007-01-15 20:59

I would like to see the death syth hell in MG form one of my favorite gundams
there was another gundam but the name is not coming to me

M_Flores 2007-01-15 21:41

Sorry for the poor quality, I had to use my phone >_<...

Spoiler for X20A, Strike Freedom, ready to launch!:

Spoiler for "Warning! Object coming from above descending at high speed!":

Spoiler for Gundam SEED Destiny collection:

NOTE: The Wings of Paper, although did not come out very well on camera, are still in its prototype stages and is not displayed in its final product yet. They still need to be trimmed and refined, and usually at varying conditions, the paper is lose and become bent (I forgot to close the windows while takng pics, XD).

Fafnir 2007-01-16 00:51

An MG X gundam would be the sexiest thing under the sun. And with the increasing popularity of X, it wouldn't be too big a stretch....

Destiny's Wings of Light looks like it's actually glowing there O_O WOW

Meehlimo 2007-01-16 06:03

look sweet btw ur wings of paper look really interesting i have an idea for my own now thanx. :D

M_Flores 2007-01-16 06:26

I use thin tracing paper and colour the rear page with the specific coloured highlighter (pink obviously for destiny, and a light blue for Strike Freedom).
If you're going to do this, you'll probably be aware that the paper will bend due to the thinness of it - but you can remedy that by constantly rolling or bending them in the other direction and eventually, they will sit straight or in the direction you desire. If you see the Destiny Gundam's paper, you'll notice its a little more well-positioned, this was due to the constant rolling and minor folding, which a similar result should also occur with Strike Freedom's over time. However, you might probably find a better version or method for yourself, so yeah, good luck!

Critias 2007-01-16 21:07

Could also color one side of the paper, and apply oil or something to the other side of it. That way, it'll "glow" when light hits the back.

Proposed Stand for the Hi-Nu ?

http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/1...8567916nn9.jpg

Anyway, this Amuro Insignia Stand looks better than the half ass action base Bandai gives us with the MG SF. Good to see Bandai is more catering to us UC-ers, if this plan turns out to be true.

kct 2007-01-17 20:43

So it seems that the high cost for the MG Hi-Nu is justified.

Now only if DHM would release Buster Zeta conversion parts for the MG Zeta 2.0...

Derringer 2007-01-18 02:03

Hmmmah, time to throw in my own:

I can't read that, but is it hinting that there will also be a beam effect part inside/on the FFs?

nicely done but its hard to tell from the images but did u fully paint everything??? whites and blues? and what type of paint do u use? gloss semi-gloss or matt?

personally i used semi-gloss as i think thats more on how the box art looks like well thats just me.

well ive been slacking off but i finally finsihed my cross bone haha now to start on my SF but i need gold paint b4 i can.

Yes. But it will be clear plastic sheets with the beam effects painted on it to simulate the load and ready state of the FFs instead of clear parts.

Looking at the picture, I'm sure to people here that the 4 arms sticking out of the base are rotatable with 3 holes on each to place the FF effects as you see fit. Then there are 3 more holes on the upper arm of the stand to simulate the FFs leacing the FF rack of the Hi-Nu.

But the biggest selling point of the stand (to me) will be that's it will be in the shape of Amuro's Insignia (The stylise A on the left shoulder of the Nu) to give it a more personalise touch for the legendary pilot.

SNT1 2007-01-18 09:54

man, if it only had core-works/G-sys proportions it would've been the ultimate master grade.... ah well, not like Im gonna fork $80++ dollars on it...

kct 2007-01-18 10:06

I would not even dare to think what Bandai has in store for the big 100, if the Hi-Nu is any indication.

DarkWarrior 2007-01-18 14:09

The redesigned Hi-Nu is a result of Bandai putting Izubuchi in charge for this model kit, instead of Katoki. I don't think a significant redesign like this will happen again (at least I hope).

And damn, that Amuro stand looks nice. But for some reason, I doubt it'll make it into the final product.. like SF's spider stand.

But Izubuchi's the one who designed the Hi-Nu in the first place. It's just he's redesigning his own work. Katoki hasn't touched a MG design for a while now. All of them with in the past few years, with the exception of the Crossbones have been done by the BEECRAFT studio.

DarkWarrior 2007-01-18 14:55

That's pretty interesting. I thought BEE-CRAFT worked on Seed MGs, not the entire MG line. And I recall Gunota saying that Izubuchi instead of Katoki was in charge of the Hi-Nu, so I thought he had a hand in the MG team.

To be honest, I'm not sure who to believe anymore. For example, someone said in another forum that BEE-CRAFT was a nickname for Junichi Akutsu, which I find odd because I thought it was the name of a team. Bah.

BEECRAFT, a team has done a number of MG kits including the GM, the most of the G Gundams, the OYW Gundam, the Zeta and Mark II 2.0, the F91, all the SEED MGs, etc. They also did the later SEED Destiny 1/100 releases.

Junichi Akutsu is the person responsible for the original GAT X concept designs as well as the Astrays and Stargazer designs. He is part of BEECRAFT.

kct 2007-01-18 16:14

Of course...Sunrise are whoring him too these days (including him in non-mecha animes like HiME and such).

Derringer 2007-01-18 18:55

The Anime News Network description is slightly misleading, especially since a lot of the BEECRAFT are NOT based off Katoki's work. Case in point, the CR Freedom looks nothing like the MG Freedom.

Thanks for clearing that up. It looks like BEE-CRAFT has been around for awhile if they were responsible for the GM.

Edit: Dalong has posted runner shots and manual scans of Crossbone Full Cloth, more than a week before its release date. I swear, he has some special connections..

SNT1 2007-01-19 01:00

^wow.

It only happened twice AFAIK, the other kit he had before release: Crossbone Ver Ka :dots: :bash:

Eh, Im getting this mofo. Who cares if I still have (2) unsnapped Ver-Kas. maybe EBay one of those fools.

- First, you could use the "Skull" parts from the Ver Ka to put on the Full Cloth--I think the Cartoony skulls don't look good on the Crossbone as an MG. On the other hand, you could build the inner skeleton and use it as an inner frame for some other stuff you might build.

DarkWarrior 2007-01-19 01:19

Actually, from what I can tell from the pictures, Full Cloth includes the Ver. Ka runners + the Full Cloth stuff. So the Ver. Ka Skull parts are also there. It looks like the only thing it's missing is the beam cloak and some decals.

I had that in mind, although I just want to drop the skull motif altogether, and maybe attempt a "Gundam F97" instead of "Crossbone Gundam"

Deus EpS Machina 2007-01-19 03:46

im not sure what significant parts from the Ver Ka got carried over...but looking at the Full Cloth's manual...lots of large parts arnt needed in its assembly.

X marks the spot folks:
http://dalong.net/review/mg/m98/manual/m98_mb0004.JPG

Also...Thats the way i plan to paint my SF. comments? better idea? In fact, here, Any help would be great. BTW, thats also the same scheme i have for my MG Freedom.

Meehlimo 2007-01-19 07:25

That SF looks really good. U did the same think i did with cover up the gold plated thrusters in the legs and chest vents with black IMO it looks better that way.

kuraishi 2007-01-19 10:32

How do u bend those clear pipes that hold the dragoon effects and i was wondering do hlj sell those action stands??? want a stand for my Xbone.

kct 2007-01-19 11:38

Hot water is your friend for the DRAGOON effect holder.

OK, a GunPla shop near my house (to be precise, 10 minutes away on foot) has just dropped the gauntlet for the normal version of the MG Strike Freedom in terms of 'lowest price' <.< .

Derringer 2007-01-19 18:09

What special connections. Whenever Gundam Base posts pictures, it means the kit's been released already. Errr Korea specifically.

lycantivis 2007-01-19 19:13

I would really like to see a Deepstriker from Gundam Sentinel. You know with those prototype colors it stands out amungst the rest of the sentinel line. Though I doubt it will ever get a MG due to its size.

kct 2007-01-19 21:22

That doesn't stop people from making conversion/resin kits to create the Deep Striker.

And in other news.

The light sand is H313 mixed with white to lighten the original colour. The light brown is H19 out of the bottle. Panel lined with raw umber. Did not pre-shade or do weathering due to lack of time.

Went lazy with the head seam and got away with it by panel lining it. Lost two parts.

The machine gun was screwed up thanks to H78 Metal Black. The silver powder was very obvious and too bright. Darkened the weapon with lots of smoke.

But I have to say, for 19 bucks, this is one great kit OOB. The shield detailing and soles are on par with MG kits. And the elbows... Full articulation! The seam lines are quite okay, the problematic ones are hidden away or concealed by construction. Who needs the MG GM and conversion kit which together would cost four times as much as this bargain?

WaytoDawn 2007-01-20 03:49

Ok, after going to my local tamiya shop, they said they don't sell Titanium Gold in spray paint form. It was not manufactured that way. only in bottles. Is this true? So i guess i have to use gold leaf then.....
