Hey sorry if this has already been asked before, but can anyone give me reccomendations of what tamiya colors i should use for my MG Freedom. I'm currently thinking about XF : 1,2,3,4,7,8,54. and X : 22. Any other suggestions. I'm still not sure if i just use the sticker for the eyes. I know i missing the greenish gray color but i couldn't really identify that one. If you would reply^^.
PS It's because I cant read the japanese paint guide that came with the model >.> edit: Forgot to ask. Do you guys primer your models. I used to build models and I've built around 5 gundam models before but never really wanted to paint them until i got this. So I know how to paint. I've jsut generally never heard of people priming their models on this forum. |
I prime all my models.

I rarly prime my models, but I do sanding always rather I'll prime or not, anyway if you didnt prime you'll have to do like 2 or 3 coats of color

hi everyone, just wanted to ask those of u with an akatsuki model, how did u get the gold coat off ? i tried with sum product form a dairy but in the end it melted the whole thing so i like lost my money :( , so can any1 suggest me a name or a type of product to use, cos i ve been to a model shop and they said that it i use sum product it will damage the plastic. thanks

I've used 2 products to strip chrome off my models. When I did my Akatsuki, I used teh Castrol Super Clean product that GameraBaenre has suggested in the past, which worked great. I've also used a bath of 409 to strip off some remanants that didn't release while in the Super Clean, as well as having used it to remove the paint from a few parts I botched recently. I actually use the Wal-Mark knockoff 409, which is their purple All-Purpose Cleaner and it works just as good as 409 IMO.

can you tell me what kind of product they are, as i m in new zealand so i probly wont have the same name, but i might find the same type of product. cheers also where there any thing like weaker areas of the model due to the use of the product ?

SD RE:AMATU2 = Astray + Blitz arm and front foot sheilds and LOT OF WORK.
And I cant wait for my Gyan, and since the 1st run of Strike NOIR contains some stuff then I'll have to get it on time :D anyway ... Saw yesterday's teaser ? then EAT THIS Astray blue frame http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...000/AstBFT.jpg Eliji and gai = http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/aeb3000/FW.jpg |
Just noticed the Gyan is the 90th MG, so 91 must be you know what. :D
|
If that's true I think itll be sooo cool to release the F91 on the same number of MG releases :D
